Small yet vibrant rooftop bar that isn't too fancy. The visible pipes and hydraulics gives it a 'raw' feel like a standard casual pub juxtaposed against the 'bar' with the full shelter which makes Taylor's Rooftop very different, especially for one that plays live music with a dance space.
Thanks to the team for reserving several high tables along with flexible start times and keeping the music at a conversational volume - the fried chicken burgers were really succulent!

Best happy hour in the area - $6.50 wine and spirits from 5-7pm ! Love the various levels each with a slightly different look/feel and really appreciate the lift.
We decided to sit on the rooftop level on a Friday night and easily nabbed a seat with a view. Service is very attentive and friendly, glasses were quickly cleared. Tiny bit of consistency in the pours but def don’t hold it against them at these prices and the under pours were compensated by the over pours.
DJ was maybe just slightly took loud to hold a comfortable conversation but it was a Friday night so can’t complain too much. Liked the mix of music so music was a positive.
I am always confused as to why this pub never seems full - it’s in a great location, good happy hour, didn’t try food so can’t comment on that but I feel like it should be more popular than it is. Maybe I should just be quiet and allow myself to enjoy it without being a sardine !
Have been here many times over the years, but now that I’m aware of the current happy hour offer and since I’ve finally visited the rooftop it will be on my list as the evening kick off venue from now on.

Walking past and fancied a pint, not many people there barman was very helpful and talkative, gave it 3 for atmosphere as there werent many people there, i can imagine if it was busy it'd be good. I needed a pint, got one - job done.  On that note, the oldest pub in sydney wouldnt serve a pint of alcoholic ginger beer, so this pub did better than them.

Very modern dining room with warm and attentive service. Starting with the bread, everything was well above expectations,the oysters were very fresh and the crumbed prawns were cooked perfectly (the pictures don't do it justice). We each had steak with truffle sauce and the steaks were cooked perfectly but the truffle lacked smell. Loved the mushy peas and chips. Wines were fairly priced and we were too full for dessert...

Du kan inte slå halvpriset vin måndag - onsdag eller $ 49 två rätters middag. Få fisken eller nötköttet. Jag beställde två panerade saker och de var bara genomsnittliga. Med en bra vinlista kan du verkligen göra några stora flaskor, allt under $ 200 kvalificerar. Tjänsten är också utmärkt.

Vi hade precis den mest utsökta middagen här. Jag hade ögonfiléen perfekt kock och min vän hade den rosa snapper också kokta till perfektion. Tjänsten var fantastisk av vår underbara servitris Lucy. Det finns ett bra glutenfritt menyval från entree till efterrätt - det finns val. Bra vinlista också. Högt rekommenderad. Jag kommer defiantly tillbaka.

Republiken måste vara en om min favoritstad lunch destinationer. Rummet har alltid en anständig buzz och är ett bra ställe att göra en affärslunch eller komma ikapp med kompisar för en Kom inte tillbaka (till jobbet!). Den nya lilla baren på tredje våningen är också den perfekta platsen att ta en drink i frid bort från den upptagna offentliga baren eller på taket

Vid ankomsten vi deltog också mycket bra. Men efter att ha begärt ett vegetariskt alternativ var det endast 1 tillgängliga på menyn och det var en pasta maträtt som de berättade för oss att de kunde göra en stor storlek så en av våra anställda gick utan en entre. Längre efter lunchen erbjöd de oss dessert endast för att finna att efter att vi hade lagt vår beställning kom de tillbaka för att berätta för oss att de hade slutat. Desserterna skrivs inte på någon meny heller och det var bara ett val av 2 desserter eller en ost tallrik. Vår vegetariska ville beställa en kaffe för att hitta att de inte hade soja eller mandelmjölk som erbjuds. Övergripande mycket nedslående veta att restaurangen var fullbokad för julhelgen och jag måste säga den mest nedslående jullunchen som vi någonsin har haft. Vi lämnade för att ha kaffe och öken längs vägen. Ett mycket bättre alternativ.

Jag har varit regelbunden i åratal och ständigt varit fantastisk. . . Av någon anledning har det gått majorly down hill. . . Matkvaliteten är fortfarande bra men tjänsten var chockerande, helt chockerande. . . Vin som spillts, tallrikar dumpade i slutändan jag skulle ifrågasätta att gå tillbaka. .

Jag njöt av en trevlig måltid med en vän på Republic Dining. Det var en tisdag kväll och restaurangen var tyst. Servern välkomnade oss och hade snabbt oss sitter med menyer, vinlista och vatten. Efter beställning levererades måltiderna ganska snabbt. Jag njöt av min barramundi-fisk - det var pannfryst och sedan lätt bakat - fast och gott med en skarp hud. Min vän hade sin lammrätt. Vi delade en blandad sallad som var mycket bra. Det fanns en bra vinlista med ett acceptabelt val av vin vid glaset. Totalt sett mycket god mat och vänlig och effektiv service.

Maten var verkligen fantastisk. Lite dyrt för en vanlig natt ute. Jag förväntade mig att ha mer än ett val av 2 mycket dyra franska champagner på vinlistan. Kanske överväga en proseco i framtiden. Tjänsten var utmärkt. Kommer vara tillbaka men för ett speciellt tillfälle

Utmärkt på taket venue, och ett bra ställe att träffa vänner nära Circular Quay. Inte bortser från vattnet, men som en följd är inte lika överlastat med turister.

Gick med en nyckelklient och som han var lokal var väldigt upprörd för honom angående den så långsamma tjänsten. Det tog en bra 45 minuter att beställa och vinglasögon lämnades regelbundet tomt och inte påfylls av den enda servitrisen som arbetade. Min kollega hjälpte med att hälla vinet för henne och hon tog massivt brott mot detta säger att det var hennes jobb. Det var inte ens en ursäkt i slutet och vi alla kände att vi inte var välkomna på den här platsen längre. Med tanke på räkningen var över 900 dollar förväntat jag mer från denna plats. Mat å andra sidan var mycket bra synd det var så långsam och i slutändan oförskämd service.

Letar efter trendiga avslappnad alternativ för en affärslunch - detta är det. Maten var förvånansvärt bra och ljus. Jag beställde en fisk. Portionsstorlekarna inte stort och man kunde lätt hoppa över förrätten. Den ost kaka dessert medan vinprovning. bra var en besvikelse med tanke på att två små kuber av den faktiskt kakor var serveras i en stor vit choklad dome. Såg ganska men jag var osäker på om jag hade blivit skidbackarna Milky bar grabben. Men jag var sannerligen inte du njuter av den stora mängder av tempererade utomhusbassäng white chocolate. Servicen var snabb och artig. Priser genomsnittet för området.

Vi njöt av en trevlig matupplevelse på första våningen i den Republic Hotel. En mycket välbesökt lunchen venue och bokningar är viktigt. Restaurangen har en varm atmosfär, är bekvämt och välkomnande, med det polska av en fin à la carte anläggning. Menyn var tillräcklig utan att omfattande. Vårt val var kungen räkor, som var väl presenterat och av god smak och storlek. Vi båda valde 300 gram biff som var tillagade i vår smak. Våra drinkar var Peroni fatöl och en flaska Shiraz. Vinlistan ger mycket bra val och prissättning av Shiraz flaska val började om från ca $60. Servicen var av hög standard och kunde inte kritiseras. Ingen tvekan om denna restaurang är välbesökt av de affärsmässiga lunchen gemenskapen, och vi kände att det uppfyllde alla förväntningar för vår réunion komma samman.

Imponerande restaurang i en pub. Vita bordsdukar. Åt bläckfisk, eye oxfilé med pommes frites och blomkål ost. Servicen var bra, maten var vad man kan förvänta sig med tanke på prislappen. Bra nog för mig att komma tillbaka igen, men inte tillräckligt bra för mig att bli begeistrad över. Sydney är en konkurrensutsatt restaurang marknaden, dessa killar måste göra mer för att sticka ut från förpackningen.

Republiken à la carte erbjuder en utmärkt läge för dem som söker för en hög kvalitet restaurang på den Quay slutet av staden. Både den mat och service var utmärkt med mat serveras inom en bra tid-ram. Inga långa väntetider när vi alla behövde komma tillbaka till arbetet. Perfekt för en affärslunch.
