It was a real sandwich! Like a big panini. I had the lamb with tzatziki sauce. It came nice and warm wrapped really well so you could eat it from the wrapper and placed in a brown paper bag. Whether they mean it to or not seving it that way makes the sandwich something you feel like is just a little bit more special to eat. If they served it any other way it wouldn't be as good. Seriously, it's like eating Chinese food out of the white cardboard containers. Somehow it tastes better. I was in a boat in the canal and we drifted by these two guys sitting on the edge of the canal feet dangling and eating this mystery sandwich sticking out of the edge of the bag. I thought, "where did they get those!" So I took a picture of the street sign where I saw them and when I disembarked from the boat-I went in search. Backtracking from where they sat. And turning the corner was blue house. And it felt great finding it. It was full of locals and nothing glamorous at all. I messed up not ordering by number. I was quickly corrected. I felt like I was in the SNL skit about the cheeseburger and the Pepsi. "Cheeseburger, cheeseburger, Pepsi." Or for the younger crew-Seinfeld's soup nazi shop. But it was good. Lots of variety from smoked salmon, shrimp salad, roast beef, tuna, just like an Italian sub shop in NYC only Greek or Turkish in Christianshavn, CPH, DK. (Same, but different). I'd say 20+ types of sandwiches. Be prepared to eat it outside somewhere. Find your favorite spot with your feet dangling off the wall of the canal perhaps...

Sure, this place looks like a dump. But let me tell you a story that will get across just how succulent these sandwiches are. I have a friend who lives in Frederiksberg. That's a long way from this place. But sometimes she goes here just for the sandwiches. She goes all the way from the borough that's probably the furthest away from here to this tiny little sandwich shop so she can eat a chicken sandwich. That should really say everything you need to know.

It's great when you are really hungry and in a hurry! Some of the sandwiches I tried, really taste's good. Place is just for takeaway, there's only few sits to sit by window. Overall, I would recommend this place for a quick lunch to sit outside by Christianshavn's kanal and enjoy it! :-)
