The beer was great, as was the exhibition itself! My downsides were primarily that the picture saving did not work for me so I didn't get to keep any wristband media from the visit. Also I felt very rushed because we were the last slot of the day. I fell because of this great rush. I understand wanting guests to get to the bar before it closes but I truly only think I fell because of this rushed panic that set in.

Truly a wonderfully done museum and tour!! I loved how interactive the exhibits were! Each person will get a wristband that you can scan to interact with the museum exhibit (take photos, create avatars, etc.). At the end, you can scan the QR code to download your goodies electronically! The museum ticket gets you 1 "welcome" mini Carlsberg beer, and 1 full size beer at the end of the tour. All the employees at the museum were so friendly! The walking tour was so fun and interesting. We learned a lot about the Carlsberg family and the different architectures/designs of the campus buildings. Recommendation: Museum and walking tour!

I found this to be an excellent tour and tasting - as a beer lover and as someone that appreciates history. I was originally slightly hesitant about the tour since it was self directed, but they have clearly spared no expense in making this engaging, interactive, and very enjoyable. I had no idea how much of an impact Carlsberg had on beer as we know it today, and it was really interesting to see how dedicated they were to not only brewing, but the science behind it. The technology and interactive events are the tour are fun, and I could have hung out amongst their beer collection for way longer than we did. SO many bottles! We got through the tour and ended up in the tasting room, where they were serving some heavy pours of three different types of beers. Should you choose to drink all of what is offered, that's easily 3 standard sizes beers, just for you. And at the end, we went up to the bar to grab another free beer, just in case what was included in the tasting was not enough. If you love beer, this is a must-do in Copenhagen.

One of my favorite brewery tours! A standout from Heineken and Guinness Storehouse, this was my fav! Absolutely loved all the history and what the founding family did for Denmark and scientific advancements for the world. So much to learn and now they shaped the city. Absolutely well curated experience and of course, the beer. Great pours to choose from. I loved seeing the full history of the brand and their ads and how Carlsberg expanded globally. The beer bottle collection is wildly impressive. And they have horses! What a place! Such a good visit!

The beer tasting following the exhibition tour, adding on 145DKR, is a big disappointment making us feel cheated. You're take to a room in the bottom basement, where, standing up, are served three beers, bottle and cans to pour for yourself. Very minimal explanation and not covering the main types. It's much nicer to have a nice beer sitting at the bar upstairs. Also much better value.

It was very interesting but the self guided basic entry is really all you need. We paid extra for the guided tour and although the man was very nice, it just didn't add anything worthwhile to the experience and was a waste of money for us.

I opted to take the self-directed tour rather than wait for one of the scheduled tours. As such, I was able to walk the route through the factory to see the various pieces and parts of what was once this great brewery (the beer manufacturing is now elsewhere) with sights and sounds and even videos at my own pace. The tour is not handicapped accessible with quite a few steep stairs up and down through the factory space. So be prepared for that. At the end, your reward is a free Carlsberg draft in their bar. Of course, you're welcome to stay, eat and drink more Carlsberg. There is a free wifi there and a few tables with access to power outlets. I found it interesting and I am a fan. I've been to a few brewery tours - Sweetwater in Atlanta, Guinness in Dublin - and this is quite interesting. Gift shop includes all sorts of Carlsberg merchandise. Tshirts, sweaters, hoodies, golf balls, glassware, posters, etc. I got my usual fridge magnet and a small glass. ROUND NUMBER REVIEW! Number 9700 overall and number 1277 in 2018!

It feels like a Deschutes in Oregon. Its all brick. There are about 5 buildings and an open garden to tour, souvenier shop and you can walk through with or without their tour guides. There are a bunch of stairs, so wear comfy shoes. There are the hefty transport horses in their stables and they do cart pulls, but today, the weather was too hot for them. There is a dedicated restaurant on the 2nd floor that serves a simple menu. Had the bbq Carlsbad burger filled with thick cut cabbage. Also had the smoked hopped salmon on ciabatta bread. Standardly good. Big bar and about 6 beer varieties of their beer this day. There is cider, too. Seems about same menu and beers available on the ground floor square. Take the bus to the brewery. It that leaves near the tourist center and across the big train station. The ride is free, but admission to the tour is not. Can pay while boarding bus with cash or cc. Best to take bus right now, as there is a lot of building construction right now between the brewery and the s train. It will also stop at the Zoo on the way returning back to the city.

We got a free tour of the Brewery from purchasing our Hop on Hop off bus ticket. This is not quite what we were thinking it was. My husband and I did a tour of Carlsberg over 30 years ago. We remembered that tour and the Elephant. This was not the same tour we took many years ago. This was a different tour. This turned out to be interesting. This tour gave us all the history of the brewery. But it also gave the history of beer. For example I didn't know that beer was being made as long ago as 4000 B.C. At this location is also the largest collection of old unopened beer bottles in the world. There is a section of Carlsberg exported beer bottles from other countries in different languages. The collection was in the Guinness World Records in October 2006. The bottles come from all over the world and continues to grow. We got to walk in the cellars of the old brewery. This is Denmark's oldest brewery. It was established in 1847 by J.C. Jacobsen. The name of the brewery came when J.C. combined the name of his son with the Danish term for mountain (berg) as it was on a hill in Valby. Father and son later went in to competition against each other. In 1906 the two breweries united. The brewery has burnt down several times. We toured the old brew house and a display of employee conditions. J.C. Jacobson had very high ideals and stuck to them. For example he declared that if they found or created anything in the laboratory that would or could improve beer they would share with other brewers. In 1883 their lab created the world's first yeast which changed beer production around the world. Carlsberg also has horses and stables along with early delivery vehicles and modes of transportation. The horses are rare Jutland horses. Jutland horses are an ancient Danish breed. The Jutland horses look a little like a Clydesdale horse. Maybe other breweries got this idea from Denmark? Carlsberg used these horses to distribute their beer back in the day. Now they are Brand ambassadors for fairs, festivals, marketing and PR. Every year when the beer brewed for Christmas goes on sale the horses and Carlsberg carriage take to the street around November 1st. The stables are open every day except Monday. Our free tour also came with two free beers or choice of soda in the old Jacobsen Brew house and bar. You must be 18 and have ID to drink this beer. There is also a small store here that sells Carlsberg souvenir items like beer Steins.

As brewery tours go, Carlsberg delivers. Our guide was upbeat and made the tasting with history of the beers fun and enjoyable! Great to take in the museum and extensive bottle collection and the horse drawn carriage is a nice touch. With your admission package you get a couple of beer tickets to use in the restaurant. I decided to try the Master Brew which I haven't had before. It was a strong and malty beer and I enjoyed it. A great place to take visitors and definitely worth the trip! Not a bad walk from Central Station if you're up for it (about 40 minutes).
