Perfect place for an apéritif, the staff is professional, attentive and welcoming.

We visited for a hot chocolate, but received no assistance in finding a seat. We ended up choosing a table ourselves and informed the waiter, but after that, we were completely ignored. Despite asking the two waiters four times to take our order, they paid no attention to us. Additionally, the place is in poor condition and desperately needs renovations. The state of the toilets was particularly unpleasant.

The best thing here is the view. In the center of St Germain this cafe had the the best views.  Onion soup was bland with no taste.  The wine was good but who could ruin a Cote du Rhône? Even the slow service didn’t bother me since I had a nice table, great people watching and good wine

We visited on a rainy day, ordered French Onion soup (it was ok, about the same as I get in a mediocre restaurant in the US), salad (a bit worse than a normal Chef Salad in the US), and Croque Monsieur (borning and not real flavorful).  The service was OK and the prices were high (12 euro for the soup).

Attentive and polite service and a good place to have a drink. I went to enjoy a glass of Sancerre and the view of the chruch across the street. As the service was quick, place wasn't very busy and Sancerre was uplifting and tasty, I decided to also order lunch.
I took Caesar salad, tomatoes were crisp and dressing was good, but the chicken, oh my was that dry. Not sure I have ever had such a dry chicken 😀 sure, a chef can have a bad day or something, but such meat shouldn't be sent out of the kitchen..
If the Caesar would've been without the chicken breast, would give 5 stars, but with this kind of meat being sent out of the kitchen, I have to stick to 3 at this time. Would still visit for drinks and snacks.
