Sometimes you want a cheap, quick dinner or you're craving tacos. Bocamexa is in the heart of Oberkampf and has you covered. It's a casual place where you order and pay at the counter and collect your order when it's ready. 

Choose your style (taco, burrito, quesadilla) and then your protein. They have everything you'd expect plus some veggie options too. Then you choose a homemade salsa - several to pick from at varied spice levels. 

I had a chicken quesadilla that was pretty okay. I appreciated that the "hot" salsa did have some heat! The guys working were really nice and the prices are super reasonable.

Best Mexican food I've had so far in Paris! Seemed fairly authentic and had a nice atmosphere. Food came out quickly and it wasn't super busy when we went at 7 pm on a Saturday. Highly recommend if you're looking for a solid bite in the 11th!

This place is a 5/5 recommend. The staff are more on the quiet side, they don't welcome you in. Not used to that but maybe it's normal in France? Anyway, that didn't stop me from going elsewhere. The food is amazing and made me feel like I was eating straight from my mother's kitchen while away from home. It is authentic and the staff told me drinks are imported from Mexico. Love that! It is definitely filling and inexpensive

Pretty much as close as you will get to Mexico in Paris; food and prices are very good (won't break the bank). If your into spicy, try the Salsa Diabla, it will definitely kick it up a notch.

This place was pretty ok, not on-point exactly, but it was decent for a Mexican place in France.   I ordered 3 tacos, one of each of the meat options. I was pleasantly surprised by the good flavor of the chorizo, which came close to a traditional  al pastor taco you might find in California or Mexico. The chicken was dry, but had decent flavor with a little added salsa verde. The beef option was the least successful and didnt have the right flavor... almost sweet, and nothing like carne asada. 
The toppings were either right on the money or close enough (Mexican cheese... not exactly, but close), the Mexican sour cream was good...  nopales were a nice touch. They have a variety of salsas which is typically found in taquerias in the west. They also have Jarritos if you really want to get close to the Mexican experience. Horchata might be a nice addition to the  beverage menu...(just a thought) overall, Not bad, Paris... not great either, but not bad.
