We had two visits on subsequent days and found the place charming: reliable, good food in a nice ambience and an amicable wait staff. 

On the third visit, unfortunately, we had an aggressively antagonistic waiter who barely glanced at us, gave us one-syllable responses to direct questions, dumped our food and drinks onto the table, and cashed us out with not one word spoken--literally not one word. This has never happened to me before, ever, anywhere. But the most unbelievable moment was when the waiter (young guy with light brown hair) leaned his entire body over the table, across my friend's chest, to look at someone outside. His upper body was literally 5 centimeters over our food, and my friend had to move his chair backward to avoid physical contact, again without one word of apology or even an "excuse me" from the waiter. Absolutely unbelievable! Clearly, we cannot recommend a restaurant that tolerates such behavior.

Nous avons fait deux visites les jours suivants et avons trouvé l'endroit charmant : fiable, bonne nourriture dans une ambiance agréable et un personnel de service amical. 

Malheureusement, lors de notre troisième visite, nous avons eu affaire à un serveur agressivement antagoniste qui nous a à peine jeté un coup d'œil, nous a donné des réponses d'une seule syllabe à des questions directes, a jeté notre nourriture et nos boissons sur la table et nous a encaissés sans dire un seul mot - littéralement sans un seul mot. Cela ne m'était jamais arrivé auparavant, jamais, nulle part. Mais le moment le plus incroyable a été celui où le serveur (un jeune homme aux cheveux châtains clairs) s'est penché de tout son long sur la table, sur la poitrine de mon ami, pour regarder quelqu'un à l'extérieur. Le haut de son corps était littéralement à 5 centimètres de notre nourriture, et mon ami a dû reculer sa chaise pour éviter le contact physique, toujours sans un seul mot d'excuse ou même un "excusez-moi" de la part du serveur. C'est absolument incroyable ! Clairement, nous ne pouvons pas recommander un restaurant qui tolère un tel comportement.

This is a great little cafe to grab a bite. Funky layout with odd art lots of tables and nooks to chat while listening to music and enjoying some time with your guest. I had a wonderful croissant and a scrambled egg breakfast with bacon, yogurt, juices and cafe ole. 

Everything was just perfect the bacon in France is amazing! I don't know what they feed the pigs here but I never taste anything like it in the states. If your in the area I don't think you can go wrong if you are looking for a quirky funky joint. The gentleman serving me was very polite and got me in and out quickly. Give it a go.

This was our first day arriving to Paris. It was the first time out of the country for my friends and I. We were walking around enjoying the new area and stumbled across this place. We decided to sit outside to people watch and they were not very kind with us they just brought us an English menu and didn't come back for almost 30 minutes! When we finally ordered it was delicious but it put a sour taste in our mouth on our first day with very rude staff. We asked for our server several times and had one server say "your server will be with you in a minute he is the only one who speaks English" in perfect English! And then our server walked around the corner and looked at us several times afterwards. I understand going to a foreign country and they speak a different language but they wouldn't even let us point at the menu and say what we wanted.

Completely typical and normal "good" place in Paris. Avocado toast was good, although served sort of...cold. Coffee was exactly what you'd expect in Paris.

We were here for breakfast on Christmas Day so things were slow. The only reason we ate here was because the patisserie across the street (which has good reviews) was closed. The waiter who greeted us was fine until he realized we didn't know much French and then just threw the menus down on the table and walked away. We were then greeted by the waitress, who did understand us and was cooperative with the little French we knew. I ordered a traditional French breakfast (croissant, juice, coffe, yogurt) and my wife ordered a coffee and croissant. The food was fine, average. 

The waitress who started out nice then decided to avoid us. I asked for the check, she came to clean the table and never came back. We decided to just go up to the register to pay and there she was. When she saw us, she left and went to the opposite side of the restaurant. The only reason for such a high rate was the food. We understand there is a stigma that the French don't like Americans but if you work in a restaurant in a touristy part of town, maybe pretend you don't hate people based on stereotypes.

My steak was terrible. The fries were like warm. I can't believe someone recommended this. My friends did enjoy their burgers. I should have known to keep it basic when they brought us hard bread when we sat down. :-(

Pleasant ambiance. The tunes of Bossa Nova playing in the background really did it for me. 
The food isn't terrible, but it isn't great either. I ordered the €13,90 breakfast menu (the one with bacon), which was ok. The orange juice isn't actual natural orange juice, so insider drink that. The bread was very tasty and the hot chocolate, the scrambled eggs and the bacon were also nice.
Not the best choice in the area. If you're willing to walk around the block for a few minutes, you'll see that there lots of better choices. Or just use Yelp.

The worst service ever! The servers are soooo rude they spoiled our evening accusing us of being Americans! I've never experienced that before! Outstanding bullshit!!!

Cafe du Temple is beautiful and picturesque... from the outside. Inside is how a good restaurant should be packed with a speedy staff. Though this  environment feels rushed with limited staff to serve a proper experience. The ambiance is nice, mood lightening with music that matches the vibe. The food isn't horrible but misses a key ingredient, attention. Every little plate has a small element that is missing, a half attempt that leaves the individual still hungry. Wouldn't come back though I appreciate the location

Very disappointing last breakfast in Paris.  We both ordered a variation of their continental breakfast consisting of croissant, juice, coffee and yogurt.  I received stale baguette pieces and juice.  The waiter then disappeared for 50 minutes.  We were the only people in the restaurant.  Late for the airport already, we pulled him away from his conversation with the bartender (about music) and asked for our bill.  He was quite annoyed, slapped down our ticket for €24 and went right back to his personal business.  The restaurant is beautiful and the menu looked like it had some good items.  The service was non existent and it could be hit or miss as to what you get.  Many, many other restaurants to choose from so please keep looking. Aux Peches Normand across the street is to die for! (Unfortunately this Saturday morning they were closed.)
