Under a light sprinkling of raindrops and with a growing rumbling of hunger, Cafe La Dauphine was a pleasant discovery on Boulevard Saint-Germain near the Assemblée Nationale. I hopped out of the sudden rain shower and into a patio seat for a relaxing and satisfying lunch.

A reasonably-friendly server soon brought a pint of 6.7% abv Grimbergen Blonde Belgian Pale Ale (€8.20) and a pile of complimentary sliced French Bread. Not long afterwards, our meal began with a half-dozen (€7.50) Escargots de Bourgogne (Burgandy Snails) oven-baked with Butter, Parsley, and Garlic (4 stars).

A Salad de Chèvre Chaud (Salad with Goat Cheese Toast and Smoked Ham) for €15.00 was a suggested daily special and, honestly, the most special discovery we found a Cafe La Dauphine. Even though it is rather simple, it was also rather tasty and surprisingly rich (4 stars) thanks to the Goat Cheese and smoky Ham.

My wife went old-school French cuisine with Angus Beef Steak (€17.40) and French Fries (Steak Frites) with Béarnaise Sauce. The meat could of been more tender and prepared more rare; however, the steak was a hearty and filling choice for lunch. The Fries were fries and nothing to write home about in a Yelp review.

As the sun came back out, we paid the check and left Cafe La Dauphine full, satisfied, and thankful for the pleasant discovery for lunch on Boulevard Saint-Germain near the Assemblée Nationale.

It should have been a sign when all the other restaurants around had waiting lines, and this one I was seated right away.  I am from the US visiting Paris from 10/5/25-10/8/25, when on my last night stopped in for dinner.  I ordered the fish with risotto.  The dish arrived in 5 minutes and 45 seconds.  I am not sure what world these people live in that they can cook risotto in 5 minutes....  in my world it takes at least 15 minutes.  The fish tasted like it was frozen, and the risotto was mush.  I do not recommend this place unless you just want wine and bread.  The wine and bread were good.  Obviously because they didn't prepare it.  And when I told them of my dissatisfaction, they offered me a dessert or a coffee.  No discount for my displeasure.

We had a great impromptu lunch here. We were just tired of walking and needed a break and this place is so lovely. We walked in and they were able to seat us right away. It was exactly what we needed!

In Paris from Chicago for six days. Stopped off at this gem around 3:30 local time and enjoyed excellent service, quality food, and a pleasant and warm environment. Our waiter spoke English and was wonderfully attentive. Overall, an excellent experience. And reasonably priced!

Good wasn't bad. I had onion soup and a glass of wine. Partner had a blue cheese burger and a glass of wine. Server came to the table and showed us the check with a 4 plus service fee and ASKED us if we wanted to pay it. How tacky!!!
Go somewhere else. This place takes advantage of Americans.

This restaurant is located very close to our hotel.  This is a very nice restaurant with a helpful and friendly staff. I ordered escargot and steak frites. Our drinks and food arruved in eeasonabke time. The escargot were perfectly prepared and so tasty. The steak was cooked perfect medium rare and the frites were perfect. Bith were a delight to eat. For dessert I enjoyed the crepes grand marnier which were set ablaze right at the table. FUN!

We will definately be back to enjoy another meal

Stopped here for crepes, disappointing and no gluten free options.  Then when i went to pay they told me the credit card machine was broken and i had to use the last of my cash.  Walk past this place.

The salmon terrine tasted like tunafish.  The "tapas" was mostly heated up frozen hot pocket-like processed food or onion rings.  We had really great meals in Paris in little restaurants but this one was surprisingly bad.  Stay AWAY.

My sister and I ordered 1 croque monsieur and 1 roasted chicken. It arrived in less than 10 minutes which was a sign the chicken had been done ahead. The chicken had a wing attached so should've been a breast but the meat was dark brown, bony and stringy. The sauce was gelatinous and both had an off smell and was inedible. The croque monsieur had 1 tiny thin slice of cheese and ham. When bartender cleared table, he made no mention of the fact that plate was untouched.

As bad as the food was, the service was equally bad. Waitress never checked back. We walked to bar to pay and as we inserted card in machine bartender grabbed it and said we had to pay cash. The sign in window said credit cards were accepted over 12 euros.

Great location but horrible foul food and foul service. Stay away.

The food was delicious and appropriately priced for being in the middle of Paris. The service was good and even though they were closing at 10.30 they were still kind enough to let us order dinner at 10.15 and didn't disappoint. 
What really pushed this from a simple 4 stars for good food, prices and service was the atmosphere. There was a live French jazz band performing from 7 - 10.30pm. We sat in the outdoor patio area and could enjoy every note from inside, and because there were many drinking and enjoying the music inside they continued to sing and play until nearly 11 when we finished our meal. 

A lovely restaurant close to the Seine to enjoy some delicious jazz music and wine.
