Best croque monsieur i've ever had.  Fries though were tiny and overcooked (not pierceable with a fork). Steak au poivre was good with good sauce but the fish and chips was just ok.

My favorite corner bar/cafe in this area. So kind and accommodating. Great drinks, great vibes. Get the patatas bravas, even if you think you don't like aioli!

I'm always vey pleased with the food and service here.  It's a very welcoming environment and their food is always very good. It's no surprise it seems like the establishment knows most of its customers as the locals come back. I had their pasta with burrata and sun-dried tomatoes. It was excellent!
They have a great corner spot for people watching as well.

In Paris during the 4th wave of the pandemic and damned if La Fronde's salade Corse, a demi of Côtes du Rhône, and their superlative waitstaff didn't make us feel human again. Merci milles fois!

This little place was just down the road from our Airbnb. Had a very good meal with a pasta dish, risotto and a croquet monsieur. Service was good and we loved being able to sit and enjoy the sights of Paris stroll by.

It was a pleasant late morning in the summer as I walked around Le Marais as a complete and utter tourist. I had hoped to magically come upon a perfect restaurant instead of doing a bunch of research ahead of time (sorry, Yelp). But because of this, I started to feel uninspired, going from place to place and vetoing each one of them for trifling reasons. I reached La Fronde, glanced at the menu, shrugged, thought "what the heck, " and went in.

Run by, at least that time of day, three 30-ish men, it felt very legit and local... definitely a part of the fabric of the neighborhood as opposed to somewhere where tourists like me flock. And I liked that. There wasn't a ton on the menu that appealed to me, but then again, that aspect of it was oddly a plus, since I knew I would get an authentic experience. And I did.

I had the tartare, which was the second time in as many days as I enjoyed this dish. I also had bread and cheeses, all of which were delicious. This is the more down-to-earth side of Paris... I'm glad I went.

When I first read the other reviews about La Fronde, I was thinking 'are we talking about the same place'?! I love this bar!

Apparently the only thing that's still the same about 'La Fronde' is the name. All the rest is new and wonderful!
Trust me: the new interior, the new management and staff, plus the food and drinks are all worth your visit!
(I can't stop using exclamation marks to stress the importance!)

Go there around happy hour, order a cocktail and the rich plate of 'charcuterie' and enjoy the beautiful interior and good vibes!

We have been here for a late breakfast and you find the typical French one with excellent fresh juice, bread, etc. The price was quite low, compared with other places we tried before in Paris. Highly recommended!

Looking for crepes for a late afternoon treat, maybe a little wine or espresso to perk us up, we found this place on our way back to our hotel in le Marais, after a very full day around Paris. It was bustling. Tables packed on the sidewalk, sun shining, people having a great time on a Saturday afternoon. We luckily found a table, right on the corner, perfect for people watching. The crepes were just right, so were the drinks. The waitress was busy, moving around, seeing friends she knew, occasionally a little far from view of our table. But we weren't in a hurry anyway. No one was.

La Fronde was a life saver for us upon arriving extremely early on a Saturday in Paris. Every other restaurant/cafe was closed at 8:00am but we were welcomed at La Fronde and fed the freshest, most crunchy-outside-buttery-inside croissants you could dream of. Along with our choice of croissant or pan du chocolat, breakfast came with fresh squeezed orange juice and a delicious cup of coffee. We ended up stayig and chatting for 3 hours while the rest of Paris slept. Beautiful spot, couldn't have asked for a better first interaction with this city.
