The most amazing meal we had in Paris and at an incredibly, incredibly affordable price. When we walked by, I thought the space seemed oddly minimalist, but once inside, and greeted by the very very warm staff (shout out to Fabian who kindly and patiently translated the menu for us -- twice) the place stops feeling chilly.  The prix fixe is the thing here, and everything we sampled was amazing (with special shout outs to the banana dessert - "banana surprise," and the decadent and rich clam and mussel soup).  Be sure to make a reservation- and don't miss this spot.

Our first dinner in Paris was at this amazing, little restaurant. Every night their menu changes with a couple of options for each of the three courses that you can pick from. Our server helped us narrow some food options and then helped pick out a couple of red wine choices that would go with our meal. Everything was delicious and memorable! Thank goodness we have family that lives in the area and recommended this place because we probably would have never just stumbled upon it but I'm so glad we were pointed in their direction!

Service and food were tres bon! Some of the most flavorable combinations I've experienced. I heartily recommend the duck and tarte citrone. Fabulous ending to our final evening in Paris!

Great dinner!   The restaurant offers delicious seafood dishes and yummy desserts.   So upset I didn't take pictures of the entrees, I was having such a great time with friends (talking a lot) that we just gobbled everything up.  It was that good!!   If you're in the neighborhood, this place will not disappoint.   And the staff is super pleasant!!

My wife and I were here in late Sept. on a 4-day layover in Paris. Thought we had eaten here 4 years ago when we were staying down the street and based on other reviews, it sounded great. Worst meal we've had in the last 3 stays in Paris. Tables are way too close together, food was mediocre in taste and our fish entrees were cold when served and both had to be sent back. Terrible service, rude and brusque. Midway through our meal due to the tightness of the tables, I spilled a half-glass of house wine and no offer to refill nor to clean up the plate it was primarily spilled on (my wife's entree). Way too touristic for our tastes and there are many better bistros throughout Paris. We are in the travel business, travel extensively, and love good food, so we eat out a lot, but the reviews on this place really missed the mark for us.

L'Affriolé is a lovely little restaurant close to the Eiffel Tower. Good restaurants (in terms of both food and value) are hard to come by in this touristy neighborhood, but L'Affriolé does not disappoint. My starter of salmon tartare was outstanding with a perfect zip of citrus to compliment the creamy salmon. The main of tuna steak with whipped avocado was perfectly done and the avocado was amazing. I would eat that all day. For dessert, I orders the Ile Flottante, which they serve on a tiny spread of peanut butter, which gives a great savory note to and incredibly rich, but incredibly light dessert. Overall, this was one of the best meals I had in Paris, and in my life.

The food was wonderful, seasonal, and creative. The atmosphere was a busy cafe for business people at lunch time. The portions are quite large, so I recommend planning to share at least dessert. Reservations would also be a good idea.
