We stopped in for lunch after a morning of exploring and had a fantastic meal from start to finish. We shared a bottle of the Chablis "Le Finage" 2022 (La Chablisienne) which was crisp, bright, and paired beautifully with everything we ordered.

We started with the Caesar salad and the beef tartare--both fresh and flavorful, with the tartare especially well-seasoned and balanced.

My daughter and I split the ribeye steak, ordered medium rare, but came more towards rare. We enjoy a rare steak as well, but if you are more picky I would recommend ordering medium (this is a general observation in Paris). It came with gratin-style potatoes and a rich, savory gravy that we're still talking about. On the side were fries with a creamy aioli that were absolute perfection--crispy, golden, and just indulgent enough.

We finished with a chocolate mousse that leaned more toward pudding in texture, but still hit the spot and made for a sweet, rich ending to the meal.

Service was kind and efficient, and the vibe was relaxed but elegant--ideal for a leisurely Parisian lunch. Would absolutely return and recommend!

It was the first restaurant that I visited. It was not busy at all. I sat outside and people-watched.

I ordered a Croque Monsieur. It was served with french fries. The fries were delish, but the Croque Monsieur was dry, and the bread was way too dry and crunchy. I did not find a hint of bechamel sauce. I am unsure if that was Gruyere cheese. If it was, it seemed very mild compared to what I am used to.

The service outstanding. The lady was sooooo nice. OMG. I would revisit here, but I'd choose something else off of the menu.

Service us rude and food quality is ok. We arrived at the brasserie for have a cappuccino and a glass of wine. Cappuccino was not made right milk was not frothed. The lady with the black hair who was serving us was so rude it made the experience negative. As soon as our cappuccino and glass of wine came she gave us the bill. We didn't ask for the bill as we wanted to oder additional things on the menue. In French culture bringing the bill as soon as your oder comes to the table is considered rude and their way of telling you they don't want you there.

The service was marvelous! The lady here was so sweet and she took care of us! Told us to not leave any of our belongings on the table because people could steal of possessions. She was so sweet and nice!! The food was delicious! And the mimosas were loaded!!! Absolutely loved this place and recommend!

Excellent wait staff here. They are multi-lingual and we're extremely friendly to our English needs. Food was great too!

We had to get the snails since that is what all the reviews show photos of. They were trés magnifique! We also had the salmon and duck. Yum! Great service, English-speaking staff, would return.

Le Relais du Louvre is a small, casual brasserie not far, as its name suggests, from the Louvre. Its interior is an all wood affair giving it a cosy, warm ambiance. There are a row of ridiculously small tables lined across one of the outer walls of the restaurant for those who want to sit outside. It was raining on the day we visited, putting an end to any thought of that madness.

With the exception of their burgers, the menu is mostly French, and includes omelettes, crepes, a full section of salads, in addition to other French specialities. I order the Confit de Cuisse de Canard, which translates to Preserved Leg of Duck. It was superb. Perhaps the best I have ever had. The American in our group resisted our taunting and ordered...yup, a cheeseburger. And you know what? She was surprisingly happy with it.

My daughter, however, was not at all happy with her cheese crepe, finding the crepe itself too bland, and the cheese to sharp. That said, she is a super finicky eater, whose benchmark of all things French is Paul in Dubai. My wife ordered a giant salad topped with smoked salmon and loved every bit of it.

Service was excellent. If you are at the Louvre, rather than wasting your time and money at those horrible touristy places littered across the backstreets of the museum, make your way straight to this little brasserie where you will be treated to an excellent French meal.

Waste NOT. Want NOT.
