Nestled in the vibrant Latin Quarter of Paris, Maoz is a culinary gem that offers a delightful vegan and vegetarian experience centered around authentic falafel. VEGAN!  Everything!  Fresh falafel with a topping bar.  Falafel was excellent and freshly made.  Pita was soft and fresh.  Salad was good, topping bar was a great touch.  Fries were very good, but we ordered too much food.  Service was excellent, they are used to tourists for sure, but also indulged me while I practiced my French.  There's only a few tables if you want to eat inside (I think 3?) so plan on takeaway, and eat somewhere with a nice view.

This Falafel freak flew almost four thousand miles to France to get his fix. Call me a schmuck, but I did not know there was a location just fifteen minutes south and west of Glen Head in Garden City, NY. 

Five Fabulous Stars for:

1) Amazing Falafel, just so delicious and crispy on the outside and not pasty but perfect on the inside. Hot and fresh, they had a few in the bin but told me it would be a couple of minutes for the new ones. Love it! 

2)  Love the limitless topping bar with a bunch of great sauces and veggie toppings. The grilled cauliflower was DAYUMMM ( CJ in NY I am trying but only you have the true impact) as were the marinated chick peas. The green sauce Wowza! Fries were fantastic with a killer seasoning.

3) The hours are perfect for the jet lagged and up at 1:15 am ( Paris time which is 7:15 pm previous day in NY) folks with the gavone hunger pangs. Close at 2 am Thursday through Saturday. Open at 11 am daily.

4) Nice location right in the 5th district of Paris ( Latin Quarter) just south of the Siene river. Clean interior and COVID and mask compliant. 

5) 2 fivers for a big ass falafel sandwich, plus a huge order of fries and a bottle of Perrier. No that's too French. Just regular agua. The employees are sweet and generous and kept piling on the toppings per my request,. Nine Euros( $ 10.20 approx) is a steal for this quality and quantity plus the excellent and generous service. 

Few seats inside. Just grab the two mega falafel sandwiches, walk a few yards and grab a seat next to me ( or 2 metres away ;) in this very cool district of Paris.

This is a very small corner falafel place. It's perfect for vegetarians and vegan. The guy who works there is super friendly and we made A mistake and ordered little bit extra. Then he heard us. He was very generous and correct her order. Super fresh falafel with fresh ingredients.. place his heart to sit into, but you can grab your food and walk

We stopped here for the perfect snack in the middle of a busy day shopping and sightseeing. You quite literally build your own pita, salad, or bowl with the topping bar. They finish it with your choice of sauces and additions like fallafel. 

It was fresh and fash and some of the best falafel I have ever had. 

I would suggest requesting extra sauce and going as wild as you can with the toppings (you're not paying on weight so why not). I would also recommend taking it to go. There a few little tables but its not the most welcoming or clean of an area to sit in. Fortunately this is Paris, and there is no shortage of benches and perfect places to sit and enjoy freaking Paris.

Stopped by for a quick eats and was moseying around the Latin Quarter. Saw vegetarian and falafel and it drew me in. Reviews looked good, so thought I would give it a chance. It was really good. You can get a falafel sandwich fries and the salad bar for around 11 euro. I got a coke with it. It was all very good. You could tell it was quality falafel at a reasonable price. Fries were good also. Did not take very long to make. Would definitely come back and get it again.

The mademoiselle that runs this joint was super sweet, and friendly and helpful. It was time for a perfect and really affordable vegan bite, and this provided for a perfect evening. Sure they have seating for maybe a half dozen people at most, but they have a 'topping bar' where you select what you want atop your falafel/pita. Never saw this before, and think it was innovative - and totally fresh! Tucked on one of those cool side streets lit from above in the Latin Quartier (or thereabouts).

If you like mid-eastern food, you will be happy here, perfect comfort food, and really really tasty.

This area is very trendy with an array of fast food / sit down quick, tasty eats, souvenir shopping and thrift stores. There's a place to eat for everyone in your family. My son and I are the vegans in our group and we came across Maoz! Sooooooo tasty with many vegan options for toppings. You get a falafel wrap, fries and a water bottle for $10 euros. We are here twice during our 2 week vacation! We would of eaten there more if it wasn't out the way. The customer service is also stellar! Support local businesses. The inside has 3-4 two person tables.

One of the best zaatar and Lebanese restaurant in town. It's definitely worth a try ;)

We stopped in one evening after taking a river cruise. The shop is small with maybe 8 seats total. We approached the counter after reviewing the menu and after starting in French and then forgetting my 20 year old French classes the proprietress quickly switched over to English to help me out. The concept is simple. You order and then the. Make fresh a base falafel of pita, salad (depending on what you order), and tzatziki. Then you get to top it yourself from the toping bar. You're allowed two returns to add more toppings as well. The falafel was delicious and I'll definitely go again.
