My favorite meal I had traveling in Spain!

The courses were all so delicate and thoughtfully prepared. I loved the authentic Japanese inspired taste to Spanish dishes it was an amazing well thought course in its entirety.

The chef is kind and respectful and so talented and the price is such good value for how delicious the meal was I found it to be a better deal for curation and taste than pricier course meals I’ve tried.

Had the pleasure of trying the lunch meny which was exceptionally good value for the price. All ingredients were of high quality and the chef prepared the dishes in a meticulous manner.

This gem is not to be missed while in Barcelona.

A lovely, intimate little restaurant in a quiet part of the city. I had actually booked a reservation here many many years ago when Somodo was still relatively young - but got sick and couldn’t make it. I’m glad I finally got to try it on my last trip in December. Set menu with 6 or 8 courses. I got the 8 courses at lunch.

One-man show in the kitchen serving a counter-ful of 6-8 diners. A chef’s table, if you will. Where you can see him finishing and plating every dish. Efficient, smooth, no wasted effort, a joy watching this chef at work.

Not overtly Japanese, but an elegant blend of French, Japanese and Catalan styles and ethos. Subtle, balanced beautifully, delicious. Portions were fair, and I left comfortably full. Fair price for the quality and quantity of food. Would definitely recommend, and will return. And I’ll try my best not to be late next time, Chef! ;)

I wouldn't be surprised if they were close to get their first Michelin state. Awesome tasting menu at very affordable price. Not a surprising menu with unknown flavors but extraordinary quality and  enjoying menu. Love the oister and the meat. They can improve on the temperature of the dinning room and maybe increase the wine list. Otherwise it's incredible for the price. Service was super kind and we could not ask for better. Looking forward to come back again to taste another tasting menu as two seems too little for such a nice place.
