Just wandered into this little place on Edgeware Road and wondered if it would be good because it was quite empty.
It was superb. 
I had the chopped salad as a starter as i had eaten taboulli down the street last week. Wow.
My lamb kabop was superior as well. The quantity was more than enough.  And warm, fresh naan.
My highest recommendations.

Every pence I dropped here was worth it. This place and their food was delicious . Their Knefeh had me like "damm bruh!" and it was soo good that I did not even finished my baclava and I am a baclava nigga. Their Kubba Halab was good AF. I mean AF really AF.

Is it possible to give negative stars?
Customer service was terrible. They served the starter and the main dish at the same time. There were only zombies working there. They gave us the wrong dish. We asked them to take it back and then the served us the same dish again. Food quality was below average.

On a street known for its excellent Persian food, this place is a stellar example.  (Disclaimer: I haven't eaten at the other places.)

What sets Valentino apart is that it's upscale.  They clearly put a lot of effort into the decor: the walls are faux sandstone with Egyptian friezes.  The service was pleasantly quick, and the food was outstanding.  

I started with hoummous, and it came not only with naan (freshly baked, just thin enough to be crisp in places) but also with pickles and pickled carrots.  For the main course, I had the mixed grill, which came with 3 kinds of kebab (lamb, minced lamb (koobideh), and chicken).  The portion side was large, and it even came with a side - which is unusual in cheaper places.  For dessert, they only had baklava on the menu, which I didn't try.  However, they had turkish coffee (which they call arabic coffee), and it was one of the best I've had.

It was more food than I could eat, and I'm looking forward to the take away for lunch tomorrow.

Next time I'm in London, I will definitely eat here again.

Came here for lunch, so didn't try some of the larger dishes on the menu. We just ordered basic shawarma, along with a starter of hummus. Everything was excellent. The hummus came with fresh baked flatbread - and was well seasoned and prepared. The sandwiches were perfectly sized, and the meat was well done. I'd come back to try a larger service for sure.

The tables were tightly packed in, not quite to uncomfortable, but close. Service was good, they definitely leave you alone unless you need something. Value was good, don't expect to pay a ton out of pocket.

So good!  The lamb was tender and juicy... all dishes were perfectly seasoned and delicious!  They didn't appear to have air conditioning so was a little uncomfortable with the heat in July but food was worth it!

The lamb was amazing and the food was very flavorful. I enjoyed the sauces they gave to top the meat with all very tasty.

Passed by when staying overnight in London. I had a chicken dish that was absolutely delicious. I can hardly believe I got such a good meal for what seems like free, compared to the quality of the food. I will definitely come back, and I urge you to check it out if you're nearby.

Just checked into the Hilton Metropole. Looking for a snack. We ordered mixed shawarma and lamb kebabs. The shawarma was delicious. Crunchy toasted and juicy with the right interior textures. Have to come back for more. 5£ for each serve. Great local Persian food.
