It's a lovely free place to enter.
You only have to pay for special exhibitions, which there was a Grayson Perry one on.
Lovely place full of armoury and paintings and beautiful clocks and dressers.
Nice enclosed sun roof cafe in the middle, which is  a great place to meet friends for a bite to eat.
Two rooms for shops.
Lovely collection to visit.
Lots of ground floor level so easy access for wheelchairs.
The special exhibitions were downstairs but I think that there was a lift available.

My daughter took me to the new Grayson Perry exhibition at the Wallace Collection on Mothering Sunday which we enjoyed immensely. My first visit to the Collection since its makeover and it now looks completely different to before. Whether it's better is another question. It houses a great collection of miniatures and my favourite is one painted of Napoleon Bonaparte. I used to frequent free lunchtime lectures there that were always interesting but I don't know if they are still offered.

Great exhibition from Grayson Perry & great to see some fresh new work. Inspiring stuff. It was my 1st visit here. My only gripe was that it was a bit crowded even though timed entrance tickets are in place. The restaurant service was a shambles & the team need to be nicer, honest & upfront about wait times as customers will be more forgiving if these were in place. Shocking service in a stunning setting so it’s a shame. Otherwise helpful staff in main building. Beautiful place, will return to see the rest of the collection but not to the restaurant.

Wonderful collection of gorgeous art. There are a lot of rooms to explore, the rooms themselves are beautifully decorated and then there's wonderful art, weapons and armour to look at throughout.
It's definitely worth a visit, especially as it's free.
We went on a Saturday and it was still fairly quiet despite being in such an accessible area of London.
