Whenever I want to do a review, I always use the same procedure: I start from a 5/10, then I keep on adding removing points according  to the dinner, I multiply the result to a price factor and then I get my result over the 5 stars, adjusted to the nearest available point (/me waiving my fist in the air because of missing half stars!). This place  ended up obtaining an awesome 0.6. DAMN.

First of all, this is sponsored as a Mozzarella Bar, a classy italian bar/restaurant with mozzarella as speciality. It does sound as the kind of places where they just try to steal some of your moneys giving you shitty food, but we got to try anyway!
First strange thing, spanish waiters. I'm usually not that picky but in London I am. Damn, whenever I take a bus I'm sure I'll find at least two italians speaking loudly, is it possible you can't find any italian waiter? I don't know, it seems strange!

I liked the style of the restaurant, minimalist stylish, the kind of trendy place we started to appreciate from 2000s. It's all based on a combination of black, wood and red, nice! BUT the problem is that if I booked a table for 4 people you CAN'T give me two round tables, you give me two square tables! damn that's basic, are you crazy? Other than this problem there is a general issue with the number of tables, definitely too many for the single room. It's ok for a german brewery, but in a place like this, where you maybe want to have some private time with your girlfriend, you can't have another table with 4 men 5 cm next to you! it's just wrong!

In order to test the place, we took the mixed appetizer, a pizza to be shared, the pasta of the day and a tris of dessert. The complete set! just a small thing: in an italian restaurant I hate to pay for bread, I really do.

 - mixed appetizer: probably this was the best dish we had. At least half of it. The part which involved less work. DAMN.
So it's composed by a mozzarella, burrata, two kind of pesto, caponata and a mix of cured meat. The mozzarella is good but nothing exceptional (I'd be glad to have it in any other place, in a mozzarella bar I expected to have something better), burrata is good because... well because burrata is always good (if you don't know what it is shame on you), cured meat is decent but the problem started with pesto, especially the green one, which was completely wrong, a mix of oil and cheese with no hints of  basil at all. almost disgusting for how much was wrong.

- pizza: that's not a pizza, it's more similar to a rustica or to a focaccia, it's very crispy. Not bad, but that's not a pizza.

- pasta: bah... sponsored as "the awesome today speciality", it's just a normal pasta (definitely too much salted) with some unseasoned tuna and very small and sparse squid, with a bit of cherry tomato sauce. Something that I can do better coming home drunk at 4am.

- dessert: now, as I pointed out in another review, if you propose me a tris, they must have something in common, I don't care if they are in contrast or a common ingredient, they must be linked together by something. And........ this is not. The tris was composed by a small chocolate and almond cake, a ricotta cream and tiramisu. Ok first of all THAT'S NOT TIRAMISU. It's disgusting, plain simple. You should lose your italian citizenship for letting this kind of food going out from your kitchen, you bad bad person! bad! the cake was decent, the cream (as I suspected) was too fatty and too sweet...

The wine list is composed only by italian wines, divided by regions. It's just marketing, wines are coming from famous wineries more famous for their marketing rather than their actual wines. The dessert wine was a shame: we had a passito di noto, almost flavorless, and served in the wrong glass at the wrong temperature. I hate this kind of mistakes, especially from an italian restaurant. Damn, we are in London, not Baku, where maybe people never went to Italy!

And as a nice conclusion.... the bill went up to 50 pounds each! are you crazy?! I mean, it was a mediocre/silly dinner, worthing something around 120-150 pounds, and we ended up spending 1/4 more, for a total of 200...

PLEASE, PLEASE, DON'T COME HERE. There is no reason in the whole world for coming here, really, no one.

"Obicà" - pronounced "bikkæ'" in Neapolitan dialect means 'here it is'. It has several variations according to cities and to plural vs. singular. Anyhow, I find that the name well preserves the actual presentation of fresh ingredients and 100% Italian elements the restaurant offers to its customers.

The Burrata is the best piece of the mozzarella bar.

We went there on a Wednesday night (if you want to go there for dinner, you should book as it is quite small and rather full) for dinner.
Food: we both ordered different types of pizzas topped with delicious mozzarella (about £13 but totally worth it) : the dough was light and delicious, you could actually taste that the Mozza was something else, the Parma was just as it should be - really, you should try it. In addition we ordered two glasses of a delicious £6 red wine: one of the best I have tasted at this price since I got in London (it actually smelled great too and complemented the pizza really well)
Service: all the staff was super nice and agreeable, they were smiling and just chatty enough. Every thing was quickly delivered but they were never pushy and left us all the time we needed to enjoy our meal.

3 stars for effort, with the caveat that I wasn't feeling my best self during this inaugural visit.- Obika just opened up shop right down the street from our office, so we chose to have a little work dinner outing here. The location is perfect and the restaurant seating is great for groups in the downstairs area.

FOOD: For starters we did the tasting platter - one with smoked mozzarella and the other with regular. You can't really go wrong with meat and cheese, and the bread they brought out helped hit the spot (request the foccacia). The burrata was runnier than I would have preferred. For my main, I went light and had the roast pumpkin salad- the pumpkin itself was okay - this wouldn't be a dish I would highly recommend. 
My colleague on the other hand had the pasta with meat sauce and after one bite I found myself lusting after it.  We split a couple of pizzas across the table -I would recommend this more as a sharing place, as too much of any of the dish was, well, too much - but I enjoyed having bits and pieces of everyone else's meal.

WINE: A good list for both mid range and more expensive wines - Something for everyone. We went for a Montepulciano.

I went here with a group of friends soon after it opened, and I've been longing to go back since.  The food was delicious; I had a pizza and some burrata, and both dishes were perfect.    

The burrata was creamy without being nauseatingly so; the pizza was a fantastic combo of a really spicy salami with burrata to balance it out.  I'm originally from NY and very picky on my pizzas (I find Pizza Express to be a sad, sad excuse for pizza), so I promise that my pizza evaluation comes from experience!

The atmosphere was modern and chill.  We were one of only two tables downstairs on a Sunday night; I imagine it has gotten busier since the initial opening.  I could see coming here for a casual date if it has picked up somewhat, though it was a little too empty when we were there.  

Service was superb, very friendly and knowledgeable on the dishes despite the fact that it has just opened.  

Bill was very reasonable for the quality of the food.  We skipped drinks that night because it was getting pretty late on a work night, but they looked to have a good list.

Bf and I had booked a table for 6.30 after work on a Friday however had sat down outside a different restaurant for a drink beforehand and we both decided we weren't peckish enough to eat at 6.30 so ran over and pushed or booking back to 7 which was no problem with them
We arrived and for a Friday it was still very quiet. The decor is simple and along with the lack of guests caused a lack of atmosphere but the waiters were friendly
Although the mains looked delicious (both on menu and at other tables) we decided to go for a sharing platter for 2 at £28, a pizzette and a carafe of wine.
The sharing platter had smoked mozzarella, burrata, spinach and fresh tom salad, homemade pestos, aubergine salad and 3 different meats. It was huge and completely filled us up (which was a shame as I was dying to try their delicious sounding desserts). 
Highly recommend this place if you fancy some authentic Italian food however in total it came to £60 which I think is a bit steep for a main and drink for two!

I've been here a few times every time I visit London. Their tapas are tasty and fresh. Great for a light dinner or a quick bite.

Great little gem that we stumbled upon after a horrible experience at Aqua Nuevo located just up the street. I still needed to eat so just popped in to grab something and was pleasantly surprised. Great vibe with good ambience. Friendly staff with good food. Didn't blow my socks off but good. 

Would go back again.

Had a delicious dinner here with one of my nearest and dearest. The food is Neopolitan, which gives it a nice twist on the traditional Italian fare (not that it necessarily needed a twist).

At a first glance, I thought the portions were a little small, yet when we'd finished, like Kim Kardashian's underwear, I was struggling not to burst.

My friend ordered the burrata, which is essentially a creamier mozzarella. Definitely recommended.

I do not really understand all the fuss about this place. Yes there is a good chill atmosphere, yes there is burrata and pizza and pasta but nothing is exceptional.

Waiters are friendly, and the food is good. The dough of my pizza was thin (maybe a bit too much?) and my salad with burrata did not have that much burrata in it. I have had much better pizza in traditional Italian restaurants. 

I had also tried the chicken with aubergine another day and I was disappointed in the small portion. 

In a nutshell: interesting and trendy Italian chain but not quite as amazing as traditional Italian cuisine
