Since the owner has changed, the quality of food and services have plunged.  After we arrived, the manager and female server disappeared, and the customers were left standing at the entrance for 5 minutes.  We ordered Chicken Cashew Nuts and Chicken with Ginger.  Both were extremely salty and when I asked the manager to replace it, it was just returned with some hot water added and the server just dumped it on the table without any apology.  Whilst waiting for the replacement, rice got cold, so I asked the server to change the rice, but she didn't seem to understand English well.  So we needed to call the manager.  It took them a while to replace it, and again it was just left on the table without a word.  My friend refused to pay the service charge, and the manager got abrupt but brought us a new bill which was higher than the original.  He went away and returned with another wrong bill twice more.  

We seriously miss the previous Taste of Siam with great food and services.  We will not go back.

Over the years, I have been here many times.  I have come here time and time again if I want authentic thai, as the food is always good.  There is a lot of choice, lots of curries, even the rice, you can have sticky, coconut or steamed jasmine rice, so cater to all your favourites.  It is always packed and busy.  They have expanded into three restaurants all next door to each other.  One concentrates mainly on hot pots, one with wooden tables and more casual dining, and the other original one with table cloths, and next to it they have their own supermarket where you can buy presumably all that you have eaten in the restaurants too. 

My favourite dish has got to be the Lamb Massaman Curry, tender lamb and potatoes with coconut milk in a massman sauce.  Just the name makes my mouth water, so yummy.  The lamb is so tender and the potatoes lovely and soft, added to the curry sauce you have heaven in your mouth.

If you get a chance, the hot pot dining is also very good and very reasonable.  

A great gem at the Mornington Crescent end of Camden High Street.

Really darn good Thai food. We ordered it to-go and had a feasty feast at home. The grilled prawns on a stick and veggie spring rolls were decent, and so was the pad woon sen and egg and crab fried rice. The two entrees that really stood out were the pad thai and prawn green curry. YUM! especially the green curry. Really fantastic flavour. The food came out quickly and I was impressed with their many menu options.

First off, the chicken with peanut sauce (satay) that was ordered was not on the menu as a full sized meal so i had to order 2 appetizer-size meals to create this. 
However as regards to taste it did work. The rice was good sticky, the sauce was okey sweet and the chicken was cooked all the way through. Not much more to say. 
The cashew chicken was alright. Not the best combination of herbs and spices, but it was just alright. Nothing more nothing less. It recieves a 2 out of 5 for the unhelpfulness and the subpar and rushed service.

Taste of Siam's snack bar, not the restaurant - the one two doors down -  the one that normally does noodles and sandwiches... well they also do something very special for Thai food, something rarely served outside of Thailand..

JIM JOOM! 

It's not on the English menu, it's only written in Thai, but if you just remember to say those two words - JIM and JOOM - then you'll get served just right and will be royally happy. Jim Joom is Thailand's version of Shabu Shabu, or Chinese Hot Pot. It's actually not from all over Thailand but from the spicy hot region of Isaan, close to Cambodia and Laos and famous for good food.

The Jim Joom served at Taste of Siam is never-ending. For real. For £12.50 per person you get a boiling hotpot of galangal and lemongrass soup in which to cook massive plates of raw chicken, beef, squid and prawns. You also get tofu, noodles, an amazing selection of expensive mushrooms and a whole BASKET of herbs and vegetables. The morning glory is beautifully fresh. 

That's a lot of great food, with some gorgeous spicy dips too. But one of the amazing things is that if you run out of anything, just ask for more and its free. It really is never-ending. I promise you your gut will give up first. You'll be so full you'll be in drunk love with everything.

For lunch, this place is hard to beat.

I've been twice for lunch this year- my 2nd visit happening today.  I got the beef green curry (£4.95) today...though I wished the beef was bit a wee bit more tender, there were really no complaints (I wanted to drink the curry sauce!).  My first visit a few months ago was even better- I ordered their first item on their lunch menu, a curry dish with prawns for £5.95, and it was super-delicious.  

Consistently great food with not-so-consistent service...I didn't fancy the elder man's curt attitude that served us today, while the younger woman for my first visit was pleasant.  If they can get those kinks out the way, I may have found my definite go-to for budget Thai food.

I am Thai and have been to Taste of Siam quite a few times now. The food has been consistently good and more authentic than a few other Thai restaurants in London I've been to. Good ingredients provided for hot pot. Reasonable & affordable prices. 

Staff are generally nice and helpful. I only had one negative experience with one staff member (Nirat) who made rather snappy and uncalled for remarks (in Thai, so my non-Thai friends at the table were spared from this unpleasant interaction).

Lovely restaurant with flavorful Thai food, but WARNING: Thai ice tea and Thai coffee is EXTREMELY SWEET. 

Normal Thai food price range with reasonable portions. The tofu starter was mediocre considering that there's just 6 pieces of extremely fried tofu with a very common sweet and sour sauce (topped with garlic but didn't do anything to the flavor) and was charged almost £5 for it. Not gonna order it again. The Pad Thai came so quick that I don't know if I should be impressed or suspicious. It was tasty but lacked the bit of sweetness that Pad thai usually consists. Noodles are not soggy (thumbs up) and prawns were really fresh. Pad see ew was amazing though! The sauce was just at the right saltiness and not too oily. One thing good about this restaurant is that they don't overcook their noodles, meaning I'm probably coming back soon. 

They also have a great list of curries that is yet for me to try. Oh, and seems like takeaways are pretty popular here as they don't deliver.

I thought my meal here was great.  And I LOVED the fact that when I ordered my curry spicy hot, they followed through on it; no white girl treatment here!

A friend suggested we meet here for dinner, and we were all pleased with the result.. tasty food without breaking the bank.

My red vegetarian curry was tasty, spicy and basically everything I wanted it to be.. a few more pieces of tofu would have made it perfect.  I ordered the egg-fried rice as an accompaniment, and thought it was simple yet very tasty.  My hot & sour mushroom soup was just okay, and my lemon and ginger tea warmed me up just as I intended. 

I did not try anything of my dining partners' except for my husband's aloe vera beverage.  How have I never had this before?  Refreshing and delicious!  I will definitely be seeking out this drink in the future!

Service was efficient and friend enough to take a picture of us.  

I would come back to Taste of Siam if in the area again, and I would recommend it to anyone who likes good Thai food and doesn't want to pay more than £10 for a meal.

This was a tolerable meal: basic western Thai food. Nothing was astonishing, but nothing was terrible. The bamboo was too greasy. Nothing to write home about .
