A cute, homey little coffee shop with books and a lovely window seat. The coffee is great, the colour is great, and it's all especially enjoyable in the summer. But with its small size and the door opening a lot, it gets a bit drafty and cold in the winter. I also wish for a few more vegan food options (there is often only one), and the seating can get a bit crowded. However, it's still such a gem and a real highlight of Baldwin Village.

Seems like a slightly Hong Kong-inspired cafe, since they offer drinks like Ovaltine, Horlicks, and milk tea/lemon tea. I would probably skip these options since they are overpriced here ($4-6) and you can get them much cheaper, and probably more authentic, at an actual HK cafe. They also charge extra for dairy alternatives, if you cannot have milk. However they don't charge extra for iced vs hot drinks! I got the hot strawberry matcha latte which was good, although quite typical. The pepperoni bun was also tasty, but tbh all their baked goods looked delicious so I'd want to try them all.

On an early Sunday afternoon, they are already really busy. The indoor seating is all full (90% people on their laptops tho) and there's a short line waiting to order. My only complaint was that the pick up area at the counter is super confusing. Once you order, you kind of just stand around waiting for your food/drinks, which makes the order line and pick up line a bit fuzzy. Especially if you're not sitting inside, you just have to wait around the counter until you can grab your stuff and go, and the interior is already quite cramped. Since we ordered two pastries, one staff member gave them to us first, but then we still had to wait 5+ min for our drinks, and you don't know who else has ordered drinks ahead of you, so if you happen to order the same drink as someone else, you'll have no idea whose it was. That same staff member also wasn't too friendly, like when I was confused whether a drink was mine or not so I asked a nearby customer, she curtly said "it's yours" and I was like oh ok, I guess I'll just leave now 😩. I probably won't come back here unless it was much less busy, bc maybe she was having a bad day and didn't wanna deal with all the people, but it seems less hectic as well. The outdoor patio had plenty of seats tho, but it was a chilly day.

Cutest cafe spot with an outdoor patio which would be great for summer time! Great drinks especially the matcha latte! The decor is very much so cat inspired and it is just adorable! The baked goods are also delish. Come early if you want a spot to sit inside to sit and work on your laptop! Plugs are minimal.

I personally loved everything about this cafe, from the drinks and pastries, to the ambiance and service. It gives off a very cozy, sort of British biscuits and tea vibe. The barista’s are all very friendly, always open to giving recommendations. Another thing I appreciate about this cafe is the unique drinks. Who would ever think that miso paste would genuinely be good in a coffee? they have a variety of teas, so you can even manage to custom a drink like a Tokyo or London fog, for instance. The bathrooms are frankly adorable, which says a lot about a cafe. There is art all over the place—Butter & Blue is a canvas full of creativity. Whether you wanna work or relax, they accommodate for both beautifully with downstairs seating with more a relax vibe, and main floor seating accommodating working customers. They even have outdoor seating! If you have to order one thing, let it be the white chocolate cereal miso cookie: unique sweet flavours, you’ll find yourself craving later. Overall, it’s a great cafe; I cannot wait to go back!

Stopped by here on a snowy day and the indoor design of the place is so beautiful and cozy. Has lots of seating + more downstairs.

I really enjoyed their pastries - I had the ginger molasses cookie, was super yummy but wasn’t a huge fan of the ginger chunks haha. But overall a wonderful little place to catch up with friends.
