Immediately upon entering, the atmosphere of the restaurant is quite nice and ambient. If you go earlier in the dinner hour for happy hour during the week , the place is not very busy so it felt like we had the wait staff’s full attention.

Each of us had a main as well as a cocktail and split a four person dessert. The cocktails were nice and refreshing, they felt quite authentic. The mains were tasty, but I wasn’t blown away by any particular dish. My friend thought the tuna tostadas were quite good. It did feel like they kept in line with the authenticity however.

The dessert (pear loaf) was outstanding, one of the best I’ve ever had. It really blew me away and has me wanting to return just for the dessert.

When all in all factoring portion sizes, taste and price, I’d consider this a 4-star restaurant.

The restaurant feels kinda like being in a club - it’s dim and very loud with a live DJ. A lot of people were standing around the bar, and may have been for a corporate event.

One of the staff walked us through the menu in full at the start of our meal, which was super helpful.

We decided to go with the tasting menu. We originally thought we had to choose one of the dishes listed for each course, but they actually serve all the dishes listed for each course. In total there were maybe 10 dishes, including the dessert course. It was super filling and found it to be good value for the $100 price tag. Didn’t feel like they skimped on any of the portions.

The one comment on the food is that it is definitely on the salty side. It is a consistent level of saltiness with most of the dishes, so it does seem intentional. Maybe this is a cultural thing with how the dishes are originally prepped, but it’s something to be aware of that the food will be on the saltier side.

A really nice bar! The atmosphere is amazing, with a stylish and classy vibe. The drinks were top-notch—well-crafted and full of flavor , the staff was super cool. Definitely a great spot to relax and enjoy a drink. Highly recommend!

This is one of my favourite Toronto restaurants, if not my absolute favourite. You really cannot beat the quality of the food, the excellent service and atmosphere, the well-designed menu, and their fun new birthday dessert! This place has soul and good taste infused in every bite and in every corner! It is the perfect spot for every occasion, go check it out, you will not be disappointed.

PS. Please tip your servers well, they have to go up and down the stairs to get to the kitchen
