A unique pasta forward menu with many vegetarian options
The pastas are fresh and well made. Many excellent starters especially the focaccia served with garlic butter. Excellent olive oil cake for desert. Also a good selection of alcohol free cocktails. Easy access to L train. It's a hard rez to get but worth the effort.

This is not the usual style of Italian food I like but it really blew me away! Two standouts to me were the Sheep's Milk Agnolotti and Caramelized Onion Ravioli. The former is a chewy pasta with a sweet, creamy cheese. And the latter is a delicate pasta with a rich, nutty filling.

The Italian Job gelato was a blend of various flavors, I loved the saltiness and olive oil drizzle but found the honey to be a bit much.

This spot lives up to the hype, definitely recommend a visit.

Lilia was quite the experience! There has been a lot of hype around Lilia, and I think that it lives up to it. Is it as good as some of the places in the West Village? Well, I’d say they’re very different experiences.

The Atmosphere: The interior is pleasant but relatively simple. They have a nice bar with more seating. Outdoors, they have some tables on the sidewalk and a few that feel like you’re in the street.

The Staff: Every staff member we interacted with was kind and helpful. Our server was terrific. He gave us a quick rundown of the menus and suggested some dishes.

The Food: I thought the food was tremendous. The focaccia bread with garlic butter was the highlight of the appetizers. The grilled melon and cucumbers were excellent on a hot summer evening. We tried a few pastas for mains, and I really enjoyed the lamb pappardelle. For dessert, the olive oil gelato was quite the experience. I’m not sure if I liked it, but I couldn’t stop having it. It’s certainly worth trying once.

I’ve had the privilege of eating here more than a few times and always leave extremely happy.

Without a doubt you MUST order the Sheep’s Milk Agnolotti. It is their signature dish and my personal favorite. It always hits our table when we are there.

The focaccia is also incredible and I love the mussels. The mafaldini tends to be a little salty, so if you’re into that, it’s a good order as well. And to wrap up with dessert, their ‘Italian Job’ with fennel seeds and olive oil is to die for. Great atmosphere overall.

Getting a reservation:

There are two keys to getting a reservation 1) call their phone number 31 days in advance of your desired date at 10am or 2) show up 15 minutes before they open and either have an early dinner, or ask availability for later in the evening. For #2 - this typically only works for groups of 2-4 ppl, as it’ll be very tough to get a larger group table (if at all).

Solid Brooklyn spot for pasta. Personal favorites were definitely the pine nuts spaghetti and the lamb sausage fettucine, but the sheep's milk cheese agnolotti and the grilled clams were good too. Very attentive service.
