The food 10/10 Service 20/10 Quality 10/10 75 dollars tasting menu? Like how is that even possible in this economy? Service ran like a well run ship. The chef was highly involved. One minute he was cooking, next bringing out dishes and presenting them to us. I've only experienced something similar with omakases. I love the open kitchen and seeing everyone working. It was like witnessing a chef show live. All the shared dishes on the prix fix menu were phenomenal. I was actually pretty full by the time the mains came out. I got the flounder and paid extra as normally it is something for the table to share. The flounder was an en croute shaped like a fish. The. breading was flakey and the fish was soft but firm. The osso was beautiful but very tiny. The mains come with supplements so overall it was fine but if you are ravenous, you might want to go with another option. Best service and food experience ive had in a while ! We need more places like camaraderie here in Houston. Fine dining but actually not back breaking with impeccable service.

We came to Camaraderie because we had a gift card that someone had given to us as a gift so we were excited to try out the fine casual dining restaurant not too far from us in the Heights. Camaraderie has a prix fixe menu which comes with an entree, dessert with shared dishes, and sides for the table. The prix fixe menu is $75 per person. We decided to go for the a la carte menu. Service: I want to give credit where credit is due as Camaraderie had great service. We were constantly checked in on and we never had to ask for water refills. The food came spaced out well and the server explained all of the unique menu options very vividly. Ambiance: Camaraderie has patio and inside seating as well as a small bar where you can order food and drinks. The inside was very clean but it felt like it had no character. It felt a little like an IKEA store with the basic furniture. (Maybe that's what they were going for) Drinks: we ordered two different drinks. The first drink was the Groover's Paradise which had tequila, drambuie, mango, pineapple and citrus. This drink was very sweet which are the type of drinks I enjoy. We also had the Patio Weather which had vodka, meletti, passion fruit, and lemon. This drink was our favorite as it was light and refreshing. These cocktails were not cheap at $16 each. Food: we ordered multiple dishes off of their a la carte menu which had a snacks category which was their appetizers section, a substantial category which was their entrees section and a desserts section. For snacks, we got 2 of the Nduja rolls which are baked to look like a cinnamon roll but instead of icing it has a cheese glaze and the bread has a spread of chorizo and cheese inside. These were dense but flavorful. I wish they had been a little bigger for $4 each. We also got the Tarte Flambee which was a very thin pizza with bacon lardon and white cheese on top. The outside of the tarte was good and crispy but as we dug into the tarte, it got soggy in the middle. Once again, had good flavor but the texture was off. For entrees, we shared the carrot cavatelli and the skate wing basquaise which is a fish dish. The carrot cavatelli was very good with a nice carrot flavor and good cook on the pasta. My only qualm again is the price here. The cavatelli was $28 and the serving size wasn't that big. The skate was a little salty with its fried hatter but the peppers and sauce that came with the skate cut into some of the saltiness. The skate was $30 but I don't think it was worth its price. For dessert, we got the chocolate sabayon tart. To be honest, this dessert was confusing because the filling was light and airy but the dense crust almost required a knife to cut into, the ice cream was just basic vanilla ice cream. I would not recommend getting the chocolate tart. The tart also cost $14 and it was not very big. Overall, I give Camaraderie a 3/5 because while the service was very good, the food was subpar for the price. The clean interior was ok but it felt like I was dining in a fast casual place with fine dining prices. Check out Camaraderie for yourself but we probably won't be coming back anytime soon.

Had an early reservation at 1730 on a Friday night- rolled in to an empty parking lot. Love that they have quite a bit of space to take the stress out of parking. Walked in and we were the only table for a good bit of time. It happened to be Texas cocktail week so we decided to try the drink special for that. Our server was helpful in guiding our decisions for the meal, we chose à la carte dining. Started with the tarte flambé which was delicious and crispy and cheesy. We also got the tomato pie- good and simple for seasonal but quite hefty of a price for such a small serving. We got the carrot pasta which was quite nice especially with the freshness of the carrot top pesto. The ravioli had a nice filling but I guess because they're so small it just seemed like the pasta was overwhelming/thick? The steak came with some very crispy potatoes- this was very average for me. The chocolate dessert- loved! All in all it was a solid place and I do love the bright/clean aesthetic that reads very Scandinavian indeed. But not sure I'm dying to be back again.

Loved this place! We got the a la carte menu and it was amazing. For appetizer, we got all of them- cheese curls, nduja roll and tarts flambee. We got the squid, carrot cavatelli, ravioli and sea bass. All was good and I would get it again. We got the peach brandy and it was awesome!

Great ambiance and service, good though not amazing food. We ordered a number of appetizers and entrees and drinks and while everything was good, I'm not sure anything was so mind blowing I'd be rushing back here. I really enjoyed the caviar bites and the salt baked celery root, which was a surprise favorite. Otherwise nothing else really stood out. My dessert was odd - merengue over some kind of foam and ice cream - visually interesting but the flavors didn't quite pop. I do appreciate there's parking here. We easily self-parked in the restaurant parking lot, which is rare these days.

Trendy, upscale, casual fine dining. Had a great time with the fixed menu at Camaraderie! From the modern, Scandinavian interior to the staff, it was an excellent experience. We both ordered familiar drinks to our palate, and let the food come to us as a journey. On the experimental side of things, each dish was actually a pleasant surprise. Will return for regular seasonal changes, had a Michelin star feel too it.

I don't hate Camaraderie! The food is good, the cocktails are creative, and the service is friendly. We sat at the bar since we didn't have resy and our bartender was super friendly and made great recs. The nduja rolls and cheese curls were solid. The ravioli had an interesting taste and felt unique. But honestly, nothing really wowed me, and it just doesn't feel special enough to make me want to go back. Atmosphere is nice and polished, but for the price, I expected a bit more. Worth trying once, but I'm not in a rush to return.

Camaraderie is truly something special. We snagged a reservation weeks in advance for a Friday night tasting menu ($75 per person). They have a good-sized, free private parking lot with plenty of spaces, which made arriving stress-free. Walking inside, the atmosphere immediately hits you--it's lively, energetic, and centered around a completely open kitchen. You almost feel like you're part of the action. Chef-owner Shawn Gawle is front and center, carefully assembling dishes while warmly connecting with guests. There's a gorgeous bar area and a charming outdoor patio as well. Our waitress, Jackie, provided some amazing service--constantly attentive, refreshing utensils, clearing plates, and checking in without ever feeling intrusive. 5/5 service, hands down. The tasting menu included four shareable dishes, an entrée, and a dessert, with a few surprise bonuses like savory and sweet madeleines, fresh bread, and grilled vegetables. Here's how everything stacked up: The meal started with a complimentary snack, a savory madeleine--it was good. - 4/5 [COCKTAILS] +No Substitute ($16) - Mezcal, apricot brandy, guava, lime + orgeat - Smoky from the mezcal and super smooth going down. - 4/5 [MOCKTAILS] +Havana Affair ($12) - Cut Above agave, soursop, pineapple + cream fizz - Tasty but overly sweet for my palate. - 3.5/5 [TO SHARE] +Salt Baked Celery Root - Apple, chili + yuzu - The chili oil was next-level. My favorite shareable of the night. - 4.5/5 +Doppio - Pea + ricotta and corn + fontina - Like two pastas in one: the pea side had a minty, cooling effect; the corn side was sweet and delicious. - 4/5 +Sformato - Asparagus, spring mushroom + parmesan - Good texture, earthy mushrooms, but overall just okay for me. - 3.5/5 +Lettuces - Ricotta salata + fine herbs - A simple salad. - 3/5 [ENTRÉES] +Veal Osso Buco - Bucatini + mirepoix - The best entrée. Tender, rich, and paired perfectly with pasta to balance it out. - 4.5/5 +Salmon - Crispy potato + shiro dashi beurre blanc - The crispy skin was great, but I wasn't a fan of the sauce. - 3/5 +Vegetables - Served alongside, these were absolutely delicious. - 4.5/5 +Bread - Naan-style pretzel bread: super soft and moist but dried my mouth out quickly (maybe due to the salt). We had a reservation for the pre fixe menu for a birthday treat. Promptly seated when we arrived but at the community table. The layout of the restaurant was open concept with direct view of the open kitchen to observe the team putting together the food. However, the acoustics of the restaurant was not good because the noise was bouncing off of the walls and made it loud inside to hear the waitstaff when they were explaining some of the dishes. Two stars because the service was attentive in terms of refilling waters, and replacing cutlery. Docked 3 stars because the food was very underwhelming. Most of their pre fixe menu items were bland and under seasoned. The fusion foods missed the mark and left us confused because chili oil and yuzu did not work well with the salt baked celery dish. They replaced it with a blue cheese purple grits but again that too left a gritty unsavoury mouthfeel. The salad is a salad as were the roasted carrots. The lion's mane mushroom was sad and executed poorly - bland and shredded. The shredded osso buco was the only one that tasted like seasoned beef broth/stew but why though? Where is the flavour? The raviolis were too thick and tough to chew on, and the fillings were meh. The best tasting savoury item, unfortunately, was their fresh baked bread, oof! Dessert wise, the honey cake and ice cream was decent but we did not feel like it was the best we ever had.

I have to give a glowing review for Camaraderie's prefixe menu. It was the perfect celebratory experience with 4 people. They have a decent size self-park lot that was very convenient. The service was amazing & we really enjoyed our waiter. We loved all the snacks/appetizers. The veal ossobuco & salmon were both amazing. I would personally skip the trout en croute. The crust was a work of art, but the fish was a little dry and the whole dish lacked flavor. I loved the bread service. One small detail I would've liked- please put purse hooks under the tables or bring a stand! Family style leaves no room on the table for bags. The desserts were great- i liked the milk and honey more than the raspberry. They also brought me a tasty little cake for my birthday. I love that the lounge has a completely different menu and I will definitely be back to try it.
