WOW! Cannot say enough great things about Gavroche! One of my favorite meals in Chicago by far. Ambiance is unbeatable, such a perfect cozy spot for a date night. Service is superb. Wine list is amazing. Everything we ordered I want to have again, but we also can’t wait to go back and try everything else on the menu too! We ordered the burger which is the best I’ve ever had in the city (not to mention the fries), and were too excited to dig in before getting a pic..the same with the leeks and turbot. Every dessert was also out of this world. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!! Absolutely perfect dinner and insanely incredible food from start to finish. Thank you Gavroche!!

From the moment we walked in the door until the moment we left, everything was amazing. Our server was attentive and well informed. He made excellent recommendations. The food was insane. Every dish was a flavor explosion with tasty nuances. I will definitely be back—hopefully soon and often. I’m surprised I was able to get pictures before we finished eating, it was that good. Kudos to Mitchell the head chef and to the woman who made the desserts. Spectacular!

We had an unforgettable experience at Gavroche. The wine selection is spectacular, we had a Bordeaux which paired perfectly with the true to French flavors. Do not skip on the delightful egg custard- the diverse flavor profile is a real treat to start the meal. Would also recommend the the smoke salmon gnocchi. Kelly, our server, kept our glasses full and was a real gem. Finally, the ornate dining room and mod French playlist really tied it all together.

This restaurant was on our list of places to check out for a while after seeing it listed online in trending locations. We finally made the visit, and wish we had sooner!

Stepping inside, you are greeted with moody ambiance and a cozy interior. The staff was incredibly friendly and helped us through the menu.

The food was incredible! We split two amuse bouche and two mains, including the French bread, the duck, and the chicken. Each dish was beautifully plated and had unique flavors.

For dessert, we had the highly regarded sponge cake, and it did not disappoint. The coffee and chocolate flavors were a great surprise.

I would highly recommend a visit. We will be back soon.

Thrilled to welcome this fantastic new spot to Old Town! A much-needed French restaurant that offers creative twists on classic dishes. Jason Chan has done an excellent job capturing the charm of traditional French cafés while adding a fresh, modern touch. The food was both thoughtful and refreshing—highly recommend!
