We reserved a table in advance and were seated very promptly in the front room for brunch/early lunch. It was a very beautiful room with mirrors and windows letting in natural light (photo ops!). It was exceptionally loud though and the food took quite a bit of time to come out. I had the Antione’s Brunch Burger that was fantastic albeit messy. I had to cut it in half to attempt to eat it and it honestly still kept falling apart. The fries were amazing (ask for an extra side of the burger sauce to dip them in). We had the Charbroiled Oysters and they were the highlight of the meal by far! Highly recommend it!

Antoine's is a special place in the heart of the New Orlean's French Quarter.  The menu is full of amazing choices- but I must admit that the appetizer crab dish was my favorite. The Baked Alaska was HUGE.  A two-person portion could feed 4 (or maybe even 6!). The main courses were a good size portion.  And the atmosphere is described by the restaurant as "business casual".  We loved it!

Antoine's is one of the oldest and most iconic restaurants in New Orleans, and we last visited about 20 years ago. The restaurant's ambiance is beautiful and steeped in history, but the menu didn't quite offer the traditional Creole dishes we had hoped for. My husband ordered the Pompano Pontchartrain, which was okay, and I had the French onion soup, winter vegetables, and Shrimp Remoulade. The soup was flavorful with plenty of onions, but the shrimp wasn’t to my liking, and I only had a few bites. Our servers were helpful and attentive, though. Overall, the experience left us a little disappointed.

Have always heard of Antoine's and was so looking forward trying it this evening. Unfortunately it was just very disappointing. Started off with the Seafood Gumbo and it was cold. I didn't say anything. It also just wasn't very good. It also had shrimp shells throughout the gumbo that I had to keep picking out. We also had the Souflee Potatoes, which were underwhelming. And last appetizer was the Oysters Foch which were pretty good. Then for Entrees we got the Chicken Rochambeau and Classic Fish Amondine. Again, the Chicken came out very cold, as well as the rice it was served with. We did bring this to the waiters attention and he apologized and to our surprise they did take it off the bill, which was very kind. The Fish was the best part for sure. And it was actually hot and had great flavor, but the rice and asparagus were cold. Overall just a very disappointing meal for a fine dining establishment. Service was great, so I appreciate that, but the food was just not good. I wouldn't recommend and I can't see any reason to go back again.

Wow... just wow.
This place was truly amazing. Established in 1840 and has been run by the same family for 5 generations!!
So much history in this building.

The original restaurant is just the beginning. They expanded over the years into a horse stable, a prison, a speakeasy, an alley, and multiple other areas across more than half a block!!

The 2nd generation owner is credited with coming up with the word "appetizer". He also brought the Baked Alaska over AND invented the Oyster Rockefeller.

We had the Oyster Rockefeller and a cup of gumbo for appetizer. I had lamb chops with ancient grains and asparagus for dinner.
My husband had Crawfish crusted redfish with rice and asparagus.

We then had the baked Alaska.

This place was wonderful. The food... the service... the atmosphere.... I cannot detail it enough to give it credit.
They have put so much thought into perfecting every detail.

It is pricey, ($50/plate ish)... but you will see where the money goes when you experience the quality.
