Five star overall rating, but one star less for the room specific rating. The bathroom was a bit cold - probably down to the cold floor tiles. Apart from that, the service was great and you'd have a friendly staff welcome you at the reception and give you a hand with your luggage (if you have one). Food selection for breakfast was great and the location is quite central to the parts of Dublin I was visiting for work purposes. Comes recommended.

The first night they gave us a room right next to the elevator and it was very noisy. Then the second night we got upgraded to an upper floor and once we got the upgraded rooms they were exceptional. We returned for our final stay in Dublin and while we had a group room again the hot water went out at 5:00 a.m. so we couldn't shower for our trip overseas.
Breakfast buffet is exceptional! Homemade breads the best muesli and anything you could possibly want on the menu

We stayed here for four nights, with breakfast included.  The breakfast was a simple fry up, with a choice of continental too.  The breakfast period was always very busy, despite what time you went.  The room was satisfactory, although the view wasn't great.  The walk to the room was a bit strange due to using two lifts, but this is because of the split across two buildings.  The beds were comfortable and it was clean.

What a place!
The food was amazing, the staff were friendly and happy to help, the room was big, clean and warm.
I booked a room at short notice, and I was offered 2 single beds. When we arrived, the receptionists asked if we would like to be upgraded, and we got a room with a queen size bed.
Thank you so much for the upgrade at no extra cost.
Highly recommended
This is the place i will stay when visiting Dublin again

Overall a good experience here. Conveniently located for this end of the city although for shopping and restaurants you probably need Grafton Street. Close to the Savoy pictures and a few good pubs. Service and personnel were great, warm and friendly. Food was of a good quality, certainly not high end but not low end either. Breakfast was a good selection so no complaints there although you have to be lucky to get anything hotter than lukewarm. Toaster is slow. If you want Irish/English breakfast tea then strangely enough you have to ask for it despite many other varieties being available without asking. Our room was spacious with a good sized king bed. Our only mystery was how to get hot air out of the heat pump. Despite setting it to 29 degrees C it always blew cold. Cold was the room and no electric blanket. Normally that would drop 1 star rating however overall The Gresham, or Riu Plaza if you prefer that name, deserves a 5 star rating. Its reasonably priced for Dublin.
