Hugo’s in Dublin is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in and were warmly welcomed by David, we knew we were in for a great night. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with beautifully designed interiors that strike the perfect balance between cozy and elegant—it all adds to the experience in the best way.

The food was incredible—fresh Carlingford oysters to start, followed by a delicious carrot & ginger soup, and a perfectly cooked steak that hit the spot. The drinks were just as memorable: the chianti was smooth, the elderflower spritz was super refreshing, and the 10-year tawny was the perfect way to end the evening.

The service was top-notch, and we were lucky enough to meet Gina, the owner, who was an absolute delight. She took the time to chat, shared some fantastic stories, and made sure we felt right at home. It’s clear she truly cares about her guests, especially the regulars she greeted like old friends.

If you're in Dublin and looking for a spot with amazing food, warm hospitality, and a welcoming ambiance, Hugo’s should be at the top of your list. Can’t wait to go back!

The Best Meal I have ever had !

I recently dined at this incredible restaurant and had an unforgettable experience. Head chef Michael truly elevates every dish with his remarkable talent and attention to detail.

The staff were not only friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable, adding a personal touch to the evening. Owner Gina runs a wonderful establishment with a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

The ingredients were absolutely top-notch, and you can taste the quality in every bite.

This place is definitely on the path to earning a Michelin star. Highly recommend!

A restaurant at the top of its game! Incredible dinner in a uniquely French setting in central Dublin. Off to a great start with a stunning fresh crab starter (we shared, in hindsight it was so yummy I am sure we would have handled two!). Main courses of venison and lamb were superb. Generous courses. Accompanied with a fantastic Malbec from a great wine selection. It was a big night for us so with two bottles of wine rocked in just shy of 200 Euro. Great value and highly competitive compared to other high class options in the Dublin 2 area. Will be back soon! Top marks to our server Mario.

Outstanding culinary experience!

We recently had a lunch with my Dad and brother and was blown away by the delicious food. Started with oysters served with delicious Guinness infused bread. The salted butter was delish with the bread and soup. (Had two starters that’s how greedy I was)

Dad’s beef bourguignon was amazing which he refused to share with anybody and I had the pork belly which I definitely wasn’t sharing with anyone!  All local ingredients. 😉

Washed mine down with a delicious and reasonably priced Picpoul de Pinet!

Great atmosphere and perfect for small groups. Owner Gina comes down to greet everybody and is genuinely caring about your experience.

This is the difference and We can’t wait to come back!

Went for lunch with my father in law as part of a day out. A really warm welcome into a very comfortable and warm restaurant.  Super food served by a very helpful and friendly staff. A good wine list to suit all pockets and tastes. I had forgotten how good Hugo's is, I won't forget again. Recommended.
