Pleasantly surprised by this property. This is a large hotel, yet we still felt welcomed and appreciated by the staff at check in, which is rare for a more business type hotel. The room itself was not necessarily new and modern, but well appointed and very clean. The bathroom could have been a bit nicer, but wasn't a big deal. We appreciated the lounge access included in the stay, as they were very generous with the offerings and we enjoyed the self serve drinks, including champagne. The breakfast there was just OK, but it was far more extensive than a typical club lounge, which was greatly appreciated. The area was not great, but convenient to the train station, and taxis in Barcelona are inexpensive, so that also was just a minor thing. Overall, really happy with our stay!

Lovely big rooms, view can leave a lot to be desired if you’re on the wrong side. Hotel bar is exceptionally expensive, understandable as this is an upscale hotel however I advise going somewhere local for an authentic experience and much easier on the wallet. Rooftop bar is a must visit, the views are beautiful

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the receptionist, Adelina, for her professionalism, kindness, and care for our comfort. She truly made us feel welcomed and ensured our stay was as smooth as possible. Overall, the hotel staff was very friendly, warm, and attentive, which created a pleasant atmosphere throughout our visit.

The room we stayed in was excellent—spacious, well-equipped, and comfortable, offering everything we needed for a relaxing stay.

However, there were a couple of minor drawbacks. The hot water supply was not sufficient to fill the bathtub, which was a bit disappointing. Additionally, we encountered some issues with the room cleaning service, which could be improved.

That said, everything else was wonderful, and we had a great time. I would recommend this hotel, especially for its hospitality and the professionalism of its staff.

Great staff and room options.  Lounge option is nice upgrade.  It’s away from much of the old town tourist area, but walkable, if you don’t mind walking.  They always have taxis on standby to take you places, too.

I recently stayed at the InterContinental Barcelona for my honeymoon, and I was quite disappointed with my experience.

We were assigned a room on the A floor that felt more like an underground room than a romantic getaway. I requested a change to a different floor, but was told the hotel was fully booked, despite having made my reservation two weeks in advance. The room’s windows were lower than the garden, which made it impossible to open the curtains for privacy.

Furthermore, for a five-star hotel, I expected more attention to detail for our honeymoon. While the room was cleaned daily, they didn't replace basic items like the toothbrush, toothpaste, or cotton swabs. The only acknowledgment of our honeymoon was a card left during housekeeping, which felt minimal at best.

Overall, this experience did not meet my expectations for a luxury stay. I hope the hotel can improve its service for future guests.
