The closest I came to traditional fish n chips. Served in a paper cone or parcel to go. And thankfully with all the salt and vinegar one could ask for.

Seems to be frequentrd by locals which is good sign.

HOLY HECK. We stayed in an AirBnB right across the street from this place. We had read the previous reviews here on Yelp and were so glad we did. We ended up eating here twice. Fell in love with the family that runs it, and glad to have gone.

For the fish, we definitely preferred the haddock over the cod. It is a HUGE serving, and we could split one piece between 2-3 people. Not that the cod was bad, it was just to flaky for us. The chips were really good, a big portion and so glad they had the malt vinegar packets for us to take with us.

We also had the burgers and chicken sandwich and those were good too, and the price was right.

Honestly and without reservation, I wish I lived in the area so I could go to this place every week. Go give them your money. You'll be well rewarded in good food.

The fish and chips were amazing. Large portions and very reasonable price. Small area where you can sit and enjoy your meal. We were tourists from USA but it was nice to see some locals coming in to order ,we knew it must be a good place. The man behind the counter was very friendly.

My first visit to this fine establishment was on the afternoon 4th July 2024. A very pleasing experience. Delicious freshly cooked haddock and chips, served by helpful courteous and friendly staff. 

They also kindly found a place where I could sit and eat, and watch the Wimbledon tennis 'live' on their TV. Who could ask for more? 

Recommended. 

Thank you gentlemen. I apologise this review is several weeks after I intended writing it. I will return next time I have business in Pimlico or Victoria.

This take-out place was good. We picked up some food and headed back to the hotel to eat it. 

They give you so much that we didn't need to order for two, we could have easily shared one order. 

It's fish and chips - they are either good or they aren't, and they are. You have a choice of cod or haddock, and I chose the cod. One of the very few places that's still cash only, so make sure you have some pounds on hand. Definitely a good, cheap meal.

Cash only. Just start with that. I didn't mind, but it seems to be what they want you to know. Anyway, it's a take away place with fish and chips that are fried before you arrive. Portions are huge, as we placed 2 orders and split for 4 of us. We still had leftovers! The nice regular in front of me ordered the Haddock, so I did, too. The kind employee said that is what she eats as well, and the regular is there every Friday. Why only 5 stars? It's isn't the best food around, but it was better than the last place we tried. Comes wrapped in paper and seemed very traditional. Not terrible for feeding 4 for £25.

Very fresh fried fish wrapped in paper and wish we had eaten there instead of to go so we could have got some vinegar on it.  Regardless, still really delicious to eat at home.  Their chips order is enormous (so is the fish) so I'd suggest 1 order of chips is sufficient for 4 people.

Truly a take-out-only fish and chips place as there is no seating within the restaurant itself.  There is a little park next door where one can get a seat but we chose to walk down to the St. George park about four blocks away to eat.  By the time we got there though, the fish batter and chips had begun to stick to the paper wrapping in which they had been served. The quality of the fish was good; we ordered both the cod and haddock and found the haddock to be a better option despite the higher cost.  The drinks choice is pretty weak with just a few beverages of questionable quality to choose from.  The two of us split a large order of fries and found that a small order would have been plenty for us with the two fillets of fish.  

Overall I believe we would have found a place we liked better had we been in London for more time.  I doubt that we'll return to this place again when we get back to England.  But, the fish was fresh and flavorful so I can't put the food down at all.  I just can't say it was in any way a memorable event for our first fish and chips experience.

This place was great! No frills traditional fish and chips. A number of types of fish available. Very generous portions, not over or underfried, and the staff was really friendly. I hadn't realized it was cash only, they didn't make a fuss despite me being a few pence short. 

Delicious, I will definitely be back!

I wish this place was a little closer to the Central area of London. This is my favorite of the five fish and chips I tried in London. It was also the cheapest of the five. 

I had the haddock with small fries (which is still and insane amount of fries) with a soda all for less £10!!! The fish was fresh and meaty with the batter being perfectly light and crispy. It would have been perfect if we could have some of the tartar sauce from golden union. 

What I had noticed while sitting and enjoying my fish and chips was that many locals stop in just to order chips. I think I'd do the same if I lived there too.
