Delicious food and attentive, friendly staff. 

A comfortable relaxed atmosphere to enjoy a meal. We ordered the fisherman's pie and they also offer a vegetarian Sunday roast as an alternative to a meat based one. The Sunday roast consisted of a beet and mushroom roast, a small cabbage salad, Yorkshire pudding, gravy, roasted potatoes, and carrots. It happened to be quiz night so for a small fee we participated and won! It was great fun and a wonderful way to spend our last night in London.

Really tasty first dinner in London! It was pretty busy and we were really jet lagged so we were lucky to snag a seat. We got a typical pint for drinks. I had the chicken bacon pie. It was really tasty! It came with vegetables and mashed potatoes. I sampled the bangers and mash. It was a very good meal!

Yummy food! Lovely and personable staff. 
Nice ambience. Would definitely go there again. My lamb was delicious and so were my companion's other dishes.

The food is very good.  That said, prices were quite high.  15.50 for a burger is awfully ridiculous in my opinion.  The beer selection was pretty good and the service was friendly.  The atmosphere is subdued yet it didn't feel sleepy.  

If you're staying in the neighborhood you'll have about 4 options for pubs and they all have a unique feel.  This one is a bit more slick in décor and a quieter crowd.  Depending on your mood this should definitely fall into your rotation.

I went for lunch and the meal I had was very good. I had the fish and chips recommended by a friend. It was flaky, perfectly cooked. The chips were the perfect crispy for me. The waiter was very nice. I would go back to try something else. It was one of the better restaurant fish n chips I've had in England.

Why the bad reviews ??? I don't get it !!!!!
The food was great !!!!!
We had 2 sides , the beet and fennel salad and the carrots; we also had the soup of the day which was carrots with ginger and was pretty good but the best part was the lamb pie !!!! Oh god !!! Fab fab fab mashed potatoes , and fried shallots ;) 

Prices are average and service was a bit slow though

The stench of West London wealth oozes from the four walls of this pub, whether it's through the gastro-pub decor, the expensive menu or the (mostly French) clientele who look like they're costume dressing for a 1950's period drama. 

Is it worth 8 pounds for a slice of mushroom with blue cheese melted on top?. Despite sky-high prices the food is actually pretty good, the usual pub classics with a French twist were flavourful and well cooked. 

A good selection of lagers and friendly staff make this a solid pub overall, yes it's over-priced and smacks of pretentiousness but it is shameless so. If you can forgive the high food prices and the elevator music this makes for a relatively unique and relaxing pub experience.

Few notches above the normal pub, this is clearly a gastro pub. Not a restaurant as such either, would be perfectly fine to sit here just with a beer or two. 

When in Rome do as the Romans do (or at least they used to do...) so I went with fish and chips & pint of Doombar bitter for a total sum of £16. 

Beer was fine, the main dish was also fine. Not the best fish & chips I've had but certainly above the average. Portion was not huge but big enough.

Quite posh inside but still rather homey, not an easy combination to achieve but here they IMHO have it. 

Would I return? Yes for sure
