Nestled in the vibrant heart of Londonderry, Slemani offers an authentic Middle Eastern culinary experience that transports diners straight to the bustling markets of Baghdad and the aromatic spice souks of Beirut. Known for its traditional dishes like lamb neck with rice and the adventurous Pacha, which features lamb's head and feet, Slemani promises a gastronomic journey that is both memorable and satisfying.

A great place to try some delicious Middle Eastern dishes such as lamb neck with rice and some exotic ones such as Pacha (lamb's head and feet). The service is fast and nice. The ambiance is middle eastern. Suitable for a gastronomic meal without alcohol. The only downside was them not accepting credit cards. When we wanted to pay, they told us they only accept cash. While there were stickers of major credit cards on their glass door and windows! We had to find an ATM to get some cash.

This was my second mid-week lunchtime visit and probably not the last. The food is fantastic and very good value, the complimentary lentil soup a nice touch.

Why only three stars then? Some Middle Eastern restaurants are warm and inviting while Slemani is more on the cold side (literally when the door isn't kept closed). On our last visit the restaurant was visibly understaffed and the waitress and chef had an argument.

The food was still delicious but going out for a meal is about the overall experience, not just the food itself.

On the plus side, they now accept card payment and we didn't have to rush out to find a cash point like on our previous visit.

Trying Shisha for the 1st time with a friend. We sat on the outdoor patio & ordered the fruity flavour. 

Our server entertained us for a while, detailing his adventures of living in Egypt & the nightlife.  Our shisha session lasted approx. 40 minutes. This was a nice end to a swell evening.

Very nice restaurant, great dishes at reasonable prices. We went in quite late and stayed after closing time. We didn't realize they were closing, but the staff was amazing, very patient and helpful. Thanks again!

We sat outside for sheesha and some food.  Lovely atmosphere and the service was spot on.  We shared some hummus, baba ghanoush and a couple of kebabs.  There was more than enough food for 3 people!  Would definitely come back.

I had the best houmus in London and the lamb tikka is the juiciest succulent tasty lamb I ate for a long time. From the first time I went there 2 months ago tonight will be my eleventh. Good food service and prices

This is the one place I love the most on Edware Road. Its reasonably priced and the food is always perfect. The service is quick and great. You can do sheesha outside which is also well priced. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing.

Wonderful restaurant. Friendly service, generous portions, and a calm atmosphere make this place my favourite restaurant in London. I would recommend the lamb kebab! It is served with a side of bread, with various sauces. The staff checked in regularly, and seemed to take pride in the food, and tea. I returned several times and was never disappointed.

I am writing this review at the end of my dinner tonite. It was disappointing to say the least. The staff are discourteous and argumentative. I asked for a room temperature water but it was cold, when I asked the waiter to change it they again served me the same temperature water. I decided to drink it as I didn't want to ask for the same thing again and again. The glass had greasy finger marks on it which I ignored. Then when the main course came, I asked if they could give us some fresh bread as the bread had gone cold but the waiter refused to do so. When I tried to tell him that it was normal practice to give warm bread with the meal, he argued that other places serve pre made bread. By then,I was not in the mood to educate him and explain how can the bread be pre made when it comes out of the tandoor in front of you. I would avoid this place just for the horrible service.

I have been to this restaurant everyday for the past 2 weeks, and to be honest I always leave with a smile on my face. Their Iraqi food is one of the best in town and their sheesha is spot on perfect. I would definitely recommend this to people who love sheesha like me. The staff are very friendly and polite and I am pleased to say that I have grown to become a very loyal customer.
