Beef pho was tasty. Pieces of beef inside were really soft and the portion was sufficient. Pancake was really interesting but it was so thin. If it was fatter, would be perfect. But maybe it is just me. Banana dessert was something new for me, impressive. My friend took Long Island cocktail and he was very happy with that.
Waiters could pay much more attention.
To sum up, our visit was alright, but it is nothing special. You can find many more restaurants with better and cheaper food.
I expect much more from restaurant with Michelin Bib Gourmand award.
They also put 10% but didn’t mention about that before.
Sao Nam is okay, but nothing special. This is my impression.

Hidden location Michelin star restaurant but seems like a bit of a tourist trap. Food is authentic but not quite up to standard. I have had better Vietnamese food for cheaper prices.

We had the vegetable spring roll, beef pho, beef stew, chicken prawn pancake and chicken pho. The soup not so enriching, felt like missing something. But we enjoyed the pancake.

Nonetheless the owner was friendly man, wonderful service from staff, and really liked how the place was decorated albeit it was a bit dark. I guess they were really going for that fine cuisine feel. But we went during lunch and it just feels grim like in a Vietnam war museum.

The place is decent and quiet with dim light on the ceiling. It gives you the warmth feeling when you dine at home. I have been planning to try their famous beef pho as their reviews were positive. Finally I paid a trip here with my friends and it’s never disappointed. The beef slice is so tender and chewable and pair very nice with their distinct flavourful clear broth. Definitely one of the best beef pho I ever had in KL so far. We ordered  shrimp spring rolls that is goes well with the sauce. Last but not least, the long awaited local coffee. It was aromatic and strong, and it’s pricey. Overall experience was good. Definitely come back.

Its my 2nd visit after 2 or 3 years. Food remain as good as before. The portions are quite big so best for sharing or try not to be ambitious to order too many dishes. Its was a very enjoyable meal overall. Go for outdoor seating if you love fresh air. Parking is difficult.
