🍽🍲 MUST VISIT Delicious, Tourist-friendly Thai Food

This cozy Thai restaurant may be small, with fewer than eight tables inside, so be prepared for a queue. However, it's absolutely worth the wait! The flavors are perfectly suited for tourists, with a balanced taste that isn’t too sour.  The service also quick and friendly. And the price? So worth it!

Highly recommend their Green Curry—the meat is incredibly tender, and the curry itself is rich, aromatic, and full of flavor. It’s easily one of the best I’ve had! The Pad Thai is also exceptional, with a wonderfully chewy texture that makes every bite enjoyable.

Very small place but the food is very good! We had Tom yum with shrimps, although I think it was done very well, it is a personal taste that I didn’t go crazy with it, but we had to try this traditional dish. It was not spicy. Instead green curry was really good with a touch of spicy but really enjoyable! Spring rolls are very good. Service was good, had to wait 20-30 mins.

This has to be one of the best lunch spots in Bangkok, especially when you visit Wat Po area. About 5-7 mins walking distance from the pier, they offer you quite a selection of dish, ranging from local dishes to pastas. They are quite bold in their seasonings, which for me close to the taste that the locals eat.

Pad thai is quite tangy, I love it when I squeeze some lime on it. If you are not into sour things, I suggest forget the lime, but the lime would really help elevating the whole dish into another level. The vegetables that accompany the dish also so fresh. Crunchy bean sprout, soft and mildly salted chicken would surely take you into the heart of the Bangkok. The noodles are chewy, just the right amount. Also, generous portion are given to you.

The Tom Yum Goong is good, not really heavily spiced, but definitely way more better than the one that popping up lately. Lots of mushroom, shrimp are crunchy and way better than the restaurant that are recommended by some food bloggers. Definitely aimed for tourists as well, but I believe locals would love them as well. Price wise, all of this plus drinks around 700 baht. I ordered too much, It feels like I ate for 5 portions worth of food for the 3 of my companions, including me.

Overall their food reminded me of the food stall in the alleyway beside Wat Arun that used to drive passangers from Wat Arun to Wat Po in the 2018's, where there is no a single one in their menu that has english name, only locals eat there and the food are amazing. Sad that they are gone tho, but this restaurant quite deliver what I missed the most from that food stall.

Would really really come back in the future.

We had lunch here after we visited The Grand Palace. Food were all sumptuous and great. My favourite was the chicken green curry. Staff were very nice. Located near Wat Pho just across the street.

After a visit to the magnificent Grand Palace , we (party of 3) decided to try out The SIXTH 6th  based on the Google reviews; and they were true to their words.

Also since this region is about 3 min walking distance from the pious Wat Pho The Reclining Buddha we came across this restaurant.

This restaurant is one amongst tonnes of other restaurants present on the lane about 3 min walking distance from the Wat Pho.

They have a small seating space but that wouldn't be a problem at all. They have several traditional Thai dishes to choose from.

We took 3 different dishes and they were impeccable (especially the Panaeng Curry with Rice)!! If I weren't a tourist I would definitely visit the restaurant regularly for meals for the aforementioned dish haha!

The staff is polite, prompt in catering and helpful when it comes to explaining the menu, ingredients etc. to tourists.

Overall, THE SIXTH 6th is a lovely restaurant with a great ambience and I would definitely recommend you all to try it out!
