First Gianni of the year, and it was just as superb as every other time I’ve been. The manager and staff are always fantastic, and the food remains phenomenal. I’ve been coming here a few times each year for the past five years, and this restaurant has never disappointed me. Hands down the best Italian restaurant in Bangkok.

An absolutely delightful meal from the start to the end. I had a late dinner here and started with a pumpkin soup with truffle, prawn tartare and their special ravioli with stuffed scampi served with lobster bisque. Presentation on the food was exceptional especially the ravioli, food was all really delicious and service was warm and friendly. I’ll definitely be back again soon.

This gem of an Italian Restaurant is located on the ground floor of the Athenee Residences, just next to the Athenee Hotel. It offers 2 different dining spaces: a smaller, more intimate one facing the hotel’s internal drive, and a larger area opening up to the lobby interior. The decor is sleek and understated, livened by large modern paintings. The food, which is modern Italian, draws inspiration from both southern and northern Italy, is top-notch and beautifully presented. We particularly enjoyed the stuffed pumpkin flower fritters; the red prawn tartare, the parpadelle with chanterelles, sausage and black truffle; and the northern take on a seafood platter in acquapazza. The portions are generous, and we only had space for ice creams - homemade passionfruit sorbet and a Brontë pistachio gelato, both excellent. There is a wide selection of wines focusing on Italian offerings, but there’s also a very decent selection by the glass. We loved the Vermentino and the Amarone. Service was personal, very friendly and warm. We’re glad to have found yet another reason to stay at the Athenee.
