Visited the S.S.Maheno as part of the k'gari Explorer tour. Arrived at low tide for best viewing and in good light and low surf.  The story the guide told us of its history as an early luxury liner and war time service in WW1 and unfortunate grounding was educational and informative.

If you’re with a tour guide who can tell you all about the history of this boat it’s 5 stars. If you like photography it’s also a place you’re gonna want to visit. It’s a popular spot so getting the perfect photo is difficult!

It's a very cool spot, the wreck is visible from a long way away and emerges from the mist as you drive up. It isn't something you often get to see.
