We booked the restaurant due to a recommendation. The menu consisted of three options in different courses (starters, middle, main, dessert). Why 4 stars: the food is good/very good, not superspecial though. For my taste I struggled to find a option I like, there weren't any small appetizers (like bread etc.). Wasn't aware that it was on the Michelin guide so came here without much expectations, just simply a place with good Google reviews and near me. Wow it is weird but the bread with whipped brown butter is amazing. Had the 4-course meal which was good as well. But I kinda wished the appetizers were not cold (not expecting piping hot but cold dishes in a cold weather is just not the best). Had pork for my main dish and it was surprisingly tender. Really good. Love the dessert as well.

Hard to give a Michelin star restaurant a less than perfect review. But they do lose a bit for me because of a situation.

The other members of my party wanted the "surprise" five course menu. I can't do such things without informing the chef of my allergies which are alarming and cause unnecessary anxiety. I chose from the a la carte menu.

This was not allowed. I'm guessing it's because they don't want anyone freeloading. Fine. There was so much discussion about it that my friends gave up their choice and we all went for a la carte. And I wound up having to give the list of my allergies anyway.

It was disagreeable.

On the good side, the Ajo Blanco was amazing. I've been meaning to try to make it myself. Now I know what it's supposed to taste like.

The whitefish was perfectly done. I wanted to compare to Ontario whitefish, which is my favourite. Finnish whitefish is a different species but the same genus. Would definitely order again.
