“Worst playground ever” -my 8yo daughter. Staff only open the gate for about 30 seconds on the hour. Once inside all the cool stuff is cordoned off presumably broken. The unrestricted playground next door is pretty good though.

Don’t you ever go there! Staff is SO rude and nasty. She was screaming at our families not letting us in. She didn’t explain the restrictions. But basically she just didn’t want the kids to go in no matter their ages. It’s only for 7-11yo kids- but they did let  teenagers inside too. It didn’t make sense. She was loud and rude and screaming at a few families with zero patience. She made a few kids cry.. it felt like jail not a playground. And even for a jail it would have been considered tough guards. So lame. I cannot believe we walked 20min just so that a lady at the gate will talk badly to our families and won’t let us in even though our kids were at the right ages.

This is an amazing facility in the heart of Paris. Many of the reviews here are unfair. It is a free facility run on 55 minute sessions where children must be 7 years old and capable of staying for the full 55 minutes without their parents. The staff are trained and arrange games to ensure children are entertained and safe. Every single time I go, there are parents telling their children to "say your seven", unbelievable as it may seem people attempting to put 4/5 year olds in, parents on holiday with non french speaking children who try to  force their own children to go in even as the children are begging not to go in alone. You must respect the rules, know your child's capabilities and be fair to the staff..they do not need crying 5/6year olds or shy older children  who don't speak french staying for 55 mins.
The staff are great but I can only imagine how frustrating it is to see parents break the rules which are very clearly written both in french and English. They are flexible if your child is overly confident and happy to enter but parents must be fair, height also is an issue as smaller children may not be able to climb certaain structures.
They don't take parents numbers so you need to be 100%confident your child can cope before putting them in.
Talk to the staff if you have a doubt they will let you take the kid out if they are miserable but you need to communicate before your child enters.
Staff will speak some English and they show compassion to the distressed child but they do not tolerate pushy/rude parents.
My daughter adores this playground and has recently started joining in the organised games of tag rugby (or something similar) I can have 50 mins to grab a coffee and read next to the park.
Be aware of times and do not arrive late at the pick up zone which is not the same area as the drop off point.The mean lady people wrote about in reviews is actually lovely and perhaps it's a language barrier or maybe it's parents thinking rules don't apply to them and their children but writing nasty comments and putting photos up of said staff members is totally unfair. This is honestly a super option for children after you have dragged them through the Louvre but be sure of your child or take them to tuilleries park where they can play unrestricted or pay for the trampoline area, also Luxembourg gardens has a good playground where you can pay and stay with your children who need your presence to feel secure.
For reference I live in Paris and frequently use the park at Chatelet. Usually there will be an English speaking child or two. Bird poop can be an issue around the area but they keep the play park clean. I hope that this gives an insight into some of the less fair reviews I have read.

This playground is an absolute disgrace. The absurd restriction to children aged 7-11 and the rigid entrance and exit times are completely impractical. The manager is shockingly unprofessional—she shouted at my kids and outright refused them entry. This kind of hostile behavior is unacceptable, especially in a place meant for children. Avoid at all costs.
