Nice for just overnight, if you plan on being out all day. Which you should, because Amsterdam is spectacular. The room was clean, the check in was easy. The coffee you get across the way from your stay was so good.
The only thing is the bathroom is REALLY small. So when you shower the water gets everywhere. And there is no real door to the bathroom so if you are shy it might be a problem.

No lobby (which isn't particularly obvious in the description), I asked to be let in after I checked out just to charge my phone and they didn’t let me. Instead they had me stay at the restaurant but not let me use my laptop because it “isn’t the vibe.”

There’s also no lotion or shower soap: just shampoo and conditioner and hand soap.

I noticed everything was dusty. Disposable coasters for example were not replaced so they looked absolutely ancient. The three tea bags they provided were just open (instead of being packaged in paper) which is gross, making them unusable. The room itself is much smaller than in the photos.

To be clear, I did 'take advantage of the option' of sitting in the restaurant so that I could charge my phone. There were no outlets but luckily I could charge it through my laptop. When I got out my laptop to charge the phone I was yelled at. I had initially wanted to sit in the landing of the actual hotel building to charge my phone for 20 minutes in quiet instead of having to buy food at the restaurant but was not allowed to do this because of the rules of the hotel.

Super inconvenient as a hotel, much closer to a mid-range airbnb but for much more money. Since public transit is quite good, it's better to be in an actual hotel with real service/not self-check in that is in a better location. I don't recommend this hotel at all!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Callisto and I couldn’t be more impressed with the experience. Despite the incredibly affordable rates, the service was top-notch, rivaling that of much more expensive hotels. The staff went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay, attending to every detail with professionalism and care.

The location is another major plus. It’s just a short, easy walk to the central train station, making it extremely convenient for travelers. Additionally, many of the city’s top attractions are within walking distance, so I was able to explore without needing to worry about transportation.

Overall, offers an exceptional value. You get first-class service without the hefty price tag, and the location simply can’t be beaten. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for quality accommodations on a budget.

Great location, it's above a busy restaurant so can be a lil noisy on a night so not for a light sleeper(ear plugs are supplied). Window in my room wouldn't stay open so was super warm, we did have a fan but with no air flow it was not much use 😅. Rooms where clean and spacious with fresh towels every day, big queensize bed was very comfy! Great location with most things within walking distance. The free coffee and pastries from the coffee shop over the road are amazing ! Definitely recommend 👌

This hotel was perfect for my wife and I. Location was amazing. Very easy to explore where we wanted from the hotel. It was outside of the Dam centre so we got to be outside or the craziness like we wanted. Rooms are small, but that doesn’t matter if you’re only using the room to sleep like we were. Would definitely stay here again.

Only gripe - WiFi was very slow.
