Uk best cocktail in 2024. Amazing drinks. Very cool vibe with a big table people sitting together. Price is reasonable. Also like their menu style. And they also serve snacks which is quite nice.

We’ve always loved this bar and visited many times, especially for the amazing drinks in the inside bar area. However, our recent experience was incredibly disappointing due to the unprofessional and disrespectful behavior of a staff member.

While waiting to move into the main bar area, we ordered drinks and were enjoying them. I politely asked a staff member about the approximate wait time, as we genuinely enjoy the drinks in that section. To my surprise, a male staff member (around 180 cm tall, buzz cut, dark hair, glasses, and strong build) responded dismissively and rudely, saying: “We are a bar, we serve people who drink. If you’re not drinking, we can do nothing.”

First of all, we were already drinking. Secondly, this response was not only unprofessional but also felt discriminatory and disrespectful, making unfair assumptions about us. He didn’t even look at us properly when speaking.

We’ve always loved the drinks here, but this kind of attitude is unacceptable. It ruined the experience and left us feeling hurt and unwelcome. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously, as no customer deserves to be treated this way.

Overall we had a fantastic experience here. We spent quite a bit of hours and worked our way through the various cocktails. We absolutely loved our time at Elementary, which is the bar just as you enter. The service was so good, they were friendly, welcoming, and were able to talk us through the menu depending on our taste. The quality of the cocktails here was exceptional - was worth it. I loved the Bloody Mary which was so delicious, we also enjoyed the Penicillin and One Sip Martini. I also tried the Yuzu Gimlet which was yum!

We then booked ourselves a seat in the inside bar which is Tayēr and here is where I have very mixed feelings thus reducing my rating down to 4 stars. The service was quite average - they were a bit abrupt, didn’t smile, gave a bit of attitude when we’d ask questions about the menu baring in mind that the price of the cocktails are quite a bit higher than Elementary. The blonde girl who served us was nice, but not the others. And to be honest, considering its cost, the cocktails didn’t blow us away. I much rather have continued on in Elementary. The design of Tayēr was great though - beautiful space and the bar setup was so unique. Overall we do recommend it here, but personally I feel the experience at Elementary was much better and more worthwhile.

Made a little detour before my train home on the recommendation of a friend and was not disappointed.

There is lots I could say about how well crafted the drinks are and how lovely and incredibly knowledgeable the staff are. But I feel you will only truly be able to appreciate how good this bar is if you head down yourself.

Great cocktails, great service and truly amazing experience. We visited only Elementary since Tayer was closed, but it was definitely worth it. Every cocktail was great and service was extremely fast and efficient. Worth a visit if you are a bar enthusiast since this year they are 4th best bar in the world!
