Fantastic food! We had the breakfast butty and scotch egg. It was busy and the atmosphere was great in the design and craft centre. The best and most honest brunch food I’ve experienced in a long time. Oh and the home made brown sauce was delicious. Bravo.

Everything on the menu is delicious. Not your average cafe grub- Freddie is from a fine dining background so everything is spot on. Top notch ingredients, homemade sauces, what else can I say… You have to try the hash browns!

An absolute joy to have Fred back as his mushrooms on toast was one of my favourite dishes in Manchester. Currently operating as a one-man band, it's a wonder how he manages to keep up with the demand.

Fred made a great coffee, the best scotch egg I've had (with some lovely homemade sauces), and finished it off with his brilliant mushrooms on toast. Would love for him to bring back the sourdough but didn't detract from the meal.

Do yourself a favour and pay him a visit. Well worth the trip!

Came here after seeing the good reviews on social media. Price is way too cheap for the quality you get. It’s a steal. Presentation and plating are 10/10. Taste is one of a kind. Think it’ll be the best hash browns I’ll ever taste. I don’t understand why it’s so affordable for this quality. It’s amazing. One main and a side £12.5 only

I waited FOREVER to be served. It was freezing cold. When my order finally arrived (seriously ridiculous wait - so much so that I was ready to walk away despite paying £15 for cheese on toast and some potatoes) the cheese was cold, clumpy and unpleasant. My drink (£2.50) took 10 minutes and was a lemonade. Potatoes were nice but I was so cold and fed up by then that I just left. I was offered another lemonade as compensation when the food finally arrived but I should have been taken care of much earlier than that - if I’d been told quite how long my order was going to take - maybe after half and hour - and given the choice to have a refund or wait with a warm drink that would have been much better customer service. Or indeed inform people when ordering how long they might have to wait. Maybe my order got forgotten? Who knows. Also there was a dirty glass on my table the whole (endless) time I was sat there.  I’d really looked forward to this visit but it was a complete  waste of my time and money. Re the stars - food wasn’t hot, service was much to slow,  I wasn’t looked after and the place I was sitting was freezing.
