Recently visited House of Prime Rib when I found myself in the Bay Area and remember being told about it.

I did not have a reservation, and they were fully booked for reservations for the day (as per usual). I arrived about 30 minutes before seating started in order to join the waitlist for both the bar and main dining room and would be seated at whatever opened up first. I was told it was possibly a 1.5-2 hour wait for the Monday that I went. I ended up seated at the bar, which also has a full menu but without the showmanship.

The staff was extremely nice and attentive. They move swiftly to ensure everyone gets their orders as quickly as possible.

The food was delicious and cooked to order. I left very pleased and would absolutely like to come back to do the full dining experience.

I recently dined at the House of Prime Rib, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Our server, Alvin, deserves a special mention for his outstanding service—he was attentive, warm, and made us feel truly welcomed. Alvin's recommendations were spot on, and his timing throughout the meal was impeccable.

The chef also outdid themselves. The prime rib was perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with flavour. Each side dish complemented the meal beautifully, and the presentation was top-notch. My friend visiting from San Diego was utterly impressed and couldn’t stop raving about how memorable the meal was.

It’s rare to find a restaurant that delivers on all fronts—ambiance, food, and service—but House of Prime Rib exceeded our expectations. A huge thank you to Alva and the chef for making our visit unforgettable. We’ll definitely be back!

A fantastic institution in SF. Hard to get reservations, but if you do you're in for a treat. Make sure you make them months in advance!

The prime rib is exceptional and fair priced, and the best part of the meal. They will toss the salad before you, provide sides with plenty of substitutions, cut the meat beside your table, and if you are able to clear your plate, you can ask for an extra slice!

The service is impeccable and is by far, one of the best restaurants in SF!

Didn’t enjoy having to wait another 20 minutes despite having a reservation and coming on time but the food here is delicious and helped to keep the rating up. The creamed corn is pretty divine imo, and the sliced prime rib option is the best of both worlds. You’ll be full at the end of this meal!
