My family and I had dinner for six at this location.

The atmosphere at the restaurant was truly delightful, combining elegance with a fun and lively ambiance that promoted a sense of relaxation and enjoyment. The staff were attentive and accommodating, adding to the overall positive experience we had during our visit.

However, I feel it is important to bring to your attention the pricing of the meals. Despite the enjoyable evening we had, the total cost amounted to nearly $500 for six people. This price included only two appetizers, six entrees, and six drinks. We understand that quality dining comes at a cost, so just be prepared when dining at this restaurant.

In conclusion, I would like to emphasize that we had a very pleasant time and appreciated the overall experience provided. The quality of the food and service was commendable, contributing to a memorable evening for my family.

Trendy operation.  Dominated by young twenty and thirty something food and atmosphere-centric customers.  Cool, bohemian-ish  seating with lots of color, plants, candles, and eccentric lighting.  Server seemed a bit ‘much’ at the beginning then not around when i needed him for practical things later on. They don’t answer the phone as a policy and basically insist on reservations on-line in advance.  I left something behind and tried to call them to identify it in the lost and found … no answer.  Gave up.  Overall enthusiastically recommended.  Definitely a good place to try in Chicago.

Despite the excellent ambiance, the quality of the dishes was disappointing, didn’t live up to expectations. The menu is limited, with several items unavailable. The food was unremarkable, nothing special.

It’s certainly a great option for enjoying the river view, especially during the summer.

I visited the West Town location a few years ago and had a fantastic experience, so when I was back in Chicago recently, I decided to check out the River North location for brunch. Unfortunately, this visit didn’t quite live up to my expectations.

I ordered the chicken and peas, while my friend went for the steak and eggs. Both dishes left something to be desired. The steak was tough and hard to cut through, lacking the tenderness you’d expect from a quality cut. Similarly, my chicken was overcooked and also difficult to cut, which was disappointing given how promising the dish sounded on the menu.

We also tried a couple of drinks, but they didn’t impress either. They were drinkable, but they lacked the balance I’ve come to expect from a restaurant of this caliber.

On the positive side, the servers were friendly, though I found the service a bit lacking in attentiveness. The atmosphere, however, was beautiful – the space had a great vibe, and it was clear a lot of care went into the design.

Overall, while the River North location has a lovely ambiance, the food and service didn’t quite hit the mark for me. I’ll likely give it another shot in the future, but this visit was a bit of a letdown.

Got sat right away and near the river and the overall restaurant ambiance is beautiful. Food was delicious, shared the crispy artichoke and hummus with octopus and vegetable crudite.

Service was a bit slow to start.

The only downfall was not having an elevator. My mom has a bad hip and going up stairs is hard. They informed us the elevator was only for private parties. Will be back but will request to sit on the main level.
