Collection of small homes around canals. This place is wonderful in the evening when lights in these homes are switched on. Also much less crowded than other places, so you can enjoy the canal view in a quiet atmosphere.

This is a must visit in Amsterdam. The streets are lined with eclectic shops, yummy food establishments, cafes, and everything in between. If you happen to be a spender beware - these streets can break the bank if you let them! There is literally something for everyone hiding in here - and I mean EVERYONE. The best "shopping street(s)" we've ever visited in all our travels. Both our hands were full of bags when we left. The clothing shops are so unique, fashionable, and, in most cases, very affordable. The jewelry shops are amazing and can have your head spinning - many handmade items, many unique items, and all of it is beautiful.

Nice little streets but crowded, and the bikes are really a pain, apart from being dangerous. You can't walk on the road, and the pavements are crowded.
It's better in my memory, I remember it as less stressful, quieter a few years ago
