This is a place you go to for the drinks, not the food. If you're comfortable with that, then this might be a 5/5 establishment. If you're planning on eating, then there are more things to consider.

My experience at The Shameful Tiki Room was good, but some things could be better.

The service was excellent, with an attentive server who came regularly, told us about the drink options and even told us about other drinks that weren't on the regular menu, and the food and drinks arrived in a timely fashion.

The atmosphere was also decent, with the bar strongly leaning into the Tiki theme that its name would indicate. They also had the fun tradition of banging the gong and shouting out when people ordered the large, shareable drink bowls. I also didn't find the tables and chairs particularly comfortable as they were narrow and made my legs feel cramped.

The food was unfortunately not so good. Most things were overpriced and tasted okay (although we received a gigantic plate of Edamame for a good price).  The drinks on the other hand were great, with a large selection of rum-based cocktails and drinks made from other spirit bases.

Overall, this is a great place for unique cocktails with a group but not as good for food. I'd recommend eating elsewhere before coming here.

I felt the call of the ocean and the desire for the next pacific paradise. If you know your stuff you'll feel like you're sipping alongside Don Beach or Trader Vic, if you're a newbie, you'll be swallowed up by the wonderful flavors and ambience. Enjoy the transportation from a cold rainy day to a bungalow paradise! Thanks to Ryan and the crew tonight we had a great time.

Good if you crave for the tropical Hawaiian vibes. They serve salad, comfort and finger foods.  Service was alright but could have been better.

Ordered the lime rickey drink but  too much ice which felt like I was drinking ice water. Was a bit disappointed with the lack of mocktail options as they did advertise on their website about non alcoholic cocktails. They have several drink options that are suitable to share with a few people.

Ordered the taco with pulled pork and half rack of ribs. Food was tasty but nothing  special. Perhaps if I ordered the Pu pu platter the experience would be different ?

Very dark there and it's lit with red lights. Depending on where you sit it could be difficult to read the menu. I snapped photos with flash in order to see what's in the food 😆

One of the most unique restaurants in Vancouver - it's got an exotic feel, complete with gongs, smoke, and "lightening" (?).

The chi chi was delicious, but I wish there was less ice. Their salad was also decent. It was a fun experience; kind of reminded me of the rainforest cafe, but for adults and an emphasis on drinks.

Amazing drinks and atmosphere, really enjoyed my time here. The food can be better but drinks are to die for! We ordered Nachos with guacamole and chicken, it was decent.
We got My Thai, pain killer and blue hurricane and the mystery drink. I like sweeter drinks so pain killer was the winner!
