Perfect spicy tuna sushi roll, great Alaskan king crab leg and the eggplant, ginger miso, sesame dish was delicious. I had to have the baby wagyu slider, which was the perfect bite size! You can't go to Masu and not order the glacier 51 toothfish, chilli and citrus miso, pickled apple. It is incredible and easily one of my favourite fish dishes in Auckland. They make a wonderful cocktail and their house sake is great. Great service as always. Thanks Masu!

Great food. In a bit of a casino vibe based on its location. Good service and accommodating of wife’s soy allergy which isn’t easy in a Japanese restaurant. Fair prices for higher end sushi.

My wife and I attend Matsu for a honeymoon dinner! Our table was fully ready yet so we hit the bar. The house Mai Tai was out of this world. Even the cup it came in was special.

We were shortly seated and the experience began. They did not rush us at all! In my opinion too many upscale restaurants rush their guests….

We ordered nigiri, the salmon and toro. Both were fabulous and highly recommend!! We attended nobu in Melbourne 5 days prior and felt the sushi grade was much better at MASU.

We had other dishes but none outdone by the main course of the salmon and waygu. What a pairing!! The white rice with the spice was a great compliment.

It was so good we went back the next night! lol. You get what you pay for!! Definitely check it out if you are in Auckland.

Everything is good until I was charged incorrectly and no one said sorry. Managers disappeared and they were upset that they had to reprint the docket. It was their mistake and I only pointed out. Too expensive so I am not coming back
