Had the experience to dine at okaju for a friends birthday and hands down it was one of my favorite dining experiences ever. Every course was a 10/10; not one single filler course. The uni bun especially was spectacular, one of the best things I’ve put in my mouth. Special shout out to Nick, our waiter who gave stellar service to us all night. 100% will come back and highly recommended.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Okaju. The quality and standard of the food along with its presentation is definitely 5 star however mostly of morsel bite size which is the norm for fine-dining.

The service is impeccable and Ms Reyvi and her team definitely made an impression on us. They certainly made our dinner celebration a night to remember.

The dining area is very simple yet elegant however I understand the bar counter is the popular part of the restaurant.

All in all we had a great experience at Okaju for our anniversary dinner.

The most delicious and creative Japanese dishes in Kuala Lumpur - should be awarded as Michelin restaurant. The reasons are:

A nondescript restaurant with simple yet elegant decor, this place is a hidden gem. While the ambiance is understated, the food is anything but ordinary. Initially, we didn’t expect much, but we were pleasantly surprised. Each dish is thoughtfully prepared, showcasing creativity and freshness that truly elevate the dining experience. A special mention goes to Reyvi & Nick, our server, who made the experience even more memorable. Their attentiveness, warm demeanor, and perfect timing added a personal touch that made us feel right at home. It’s rare to find such a combination of excellent service and outstanding cuisine, and Reyvi & Nick played a key role in making our visit exceptional. A memorable culinary experience that far exceeded our expectations.

We are foreigners visiting KL & I came here with my family. We were very impressed with this restaurant for the staffs’ attention to details & the absolutely lovely food. My mum’s favourite is their trademark Sake Souffle and we also (surprisingly) enjoyed their vegetables alot! We got the asparagus and broccoli.
