We had an amazing experience in this cafe. There is a pianist playing while you’re having your breakfast. The atmosphere is stunning and you feel like you are in the middle of a historical moment. Service was excellent and food was great. We came very early in the morning around 8:30 am and had less people in the queue. (Yes, there were still people!) It’s worth waiting and must visit place for sure!

I had a fantastic experience at New York Cafe! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the food was delicious. Our waitress, Vanessa, made the visit even more memorable with her friendly, attentive service. She gave great recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. I’ll definitely be returning thanks to the amazing food and outstanding service. Highly recommend!

Honestly underwhelming. We ordered food for brunch, French toast and Hungarian hot plate. To say the least the French toast was dry and lacked sweetness, the hot plate was watery and just tasted like eating a watery tomato soup filled with onions and a few eggs. The drinks were better, the Hungarian coffee good and nice thick hot chocolate was yummy. Would recommend just order drinks and enjoy the ambiance, as the environment and atmosphere is top quality.
- Hence the few stars review for the good ambiance. The staff service is pretty average too. As expected it was pricey but for the ambiance it’s okay, but expect bad quality for the price you pay. Won’t be back.

This is the most famous restaurant in Budapest and perhaps the most beautiful too. The decor is like a palace. It is truly charming.

But the food does not match the beauty of the place. We ordered the Italian Breakfast and the croissants were neither fresh nor soft and the rest was too simple for the price charged. For an Italian breakfast I expected much more.
I recommend it for the experience of the place, after all, you really pay for the place.

This evening we were catered to by Petra who was polite and courteous. The views and scenery  were delightful and the live music was exquisite. We were kindly helped by Vanessa the evening before who booked our reservation- she was exceptional and came and found us today to ensure we were happy, amazing customer care. A beautiful evening. Food okay, atmosphere and staff 10/10.
