As Chinese takeaways go, I ain't go no complaints bout this place. I have to admit, I haven't had any 'real' dishes. I tend to reserve it for those days when I'm feeling.... hmmmm maybe not sooooo great. I.e. hungover to pieces...! I'm not ashamed to admit that my standard order here is chicken curry, fried rice & chips. But it's sooooo good. Soakage if you will. But tasty soakage. There's always LOADS of chicken in it, the sauce is lovely, and the chips are gorgeo. They give massive portions as well, so you could actually share a meal like that between two if you wanted to (or weren't excessively hungover...) They do great deals as well, and bonus, the staff are lovely. Recommended.

Christ on a unicycle! I cannot believe nobody has reviewed this place yet! I have been gobbling down MSG riddled deliciousness from this place since I was about 12 years old! This was the first Chinese take away (as far as I am aware) to introduced the now infamous Dublin post pints cure.... The 3 in 1! They called it the 1.60 Special (Punts)! It was a thing of beauty! Now granted this was nearly 20 years ago (Jaysus I am showing my age).... They're around a fiver now! The lady who worked here back then was a real Dub and always said as you were leaving.... *Enjaaay dat now luv".... Gas! This place has changed hands over the years but to my knowledge has been with the same guys for the past few years. One thing I must say is that when I am looking purely just for something with curry sauce in it I do tend to order elsewhere. The curry sauce aint bad. But aint what it used to be. But it is rare that all I want is something with curry sauce. I want a buffet of NOM noms! I usually go for the salt and chili crispy house special, chips, fried rice, curry sauce, spare ribs and chicken balls (usually with a friend, I am not that much of a monster!) This combination will help you with the FEAR and the hangover from an epic night out! If you enjoy different types of Chinese dishes other than something with curry sauce then I could not recommend this place enough. The curry sauce is nice, don't get me wrong. It's just that as a curry sauce connoisseur my standards are mega high!!!! Extensive menu with great specials and meal deals. Quick fast friendly delivery service. NEVER EVER DISAPPOINTS!!!!

Worst delivery I ever had. Thai red curry was pure water running over plate with soggy carrots. Horrible chop suey sauce! Chicken was slimy and prawns rubbery. So disgusting. Never again. Not fresh one bit and obviously dont care or notice how bad the quality is. Feel sick. It went straight to the bin. Coke was nicest bit of meal.

I love this place. I have to admit all I have ordered from here so far is spice bags and 3 in 1s but they are delicious. Some seriously nice hardcore hangover food. The staff are always really nice. They usually have your order ready to take away nice and fast and there is never any faffing about or missing stuff from the order. I would like to go back here and try some of the other dishes on the menu, but I really like their spice bags. The chicken always seems to be soft and freshly fried. I've had other spice bags where the chicken is stale and tastes like it was sitting out all day under a hot lamp. Dry and gross. In New Sunrise it always tastes fresh with the right amount of salt and chili.

They really know how to make good chinese food in here, although it has all been done up and the menu has changed alot and now includes thi and vitinimise food too! The prices are reasonable and the food fresh and very tasty. There are no seats in here so its order or collection only.

Let me start by saying, I did love this place. Quick, hot, tasty food. However, I have had a simple request ignored TWICE (coke instead of diet coke) by the takeaway and another request ignored once (No onions). And this is after putting the requests in the comments section. I'm sorry but this is unacceptable. Gave them a chance to remedy the situation by trying to order again but it did nothing. I won't order from here again and I'm a regular customer.

A bit of an odd name for a Chinese take out, but New Sunrise is one of the nicest chinese I have had in Dublin. The reason I first tried it is because of its wonderful opening hours, they stay open till at least 12.30 every night and deliver pretty much up the closing hours. The portions are huge and the menu offers a wide range of food including Vietnamese and Thai dishes as well as Chinese. They also have great set meal deals and lunch meal deals. The food tastes very fresh and doesn't have that MSG taste some take outs have. The delivery service is really quick and they give you free prawn crackers when you spend over 25 quid. They do an amazing beef satay!

Ordered chicken chow main. I was unable to eat more than two bites. Veg was over cooked, noodles were not fresh tasting and the meat was like rubber. I was not sure that I was eating chicken!!! 1 star is to much for this take away. I would stay away
