Honestly only came for the views and it delivered. You can see the whole of Naples as well as the incredibly blue Mediterranean waters, with Mount Vesuvius towering over the city. The fort itself is made of local stone and has a unique ochre color which makes it stand out. There’s a small fee to enter but the views make it worthwhile as you get a 360 panorama of the area as opposed to the free balcony.

The castle is very impressive! I was surprised to learn that the castle has been conquered three times. Aside from the long winding corridor up through the castle to the top, there is really nothing available inside the castle to see. However, visiting the castle is totally worth it just for the spectacular 360 degree views of the city and sea.

Beautiful views from the top on a clear day. There is a lift tucked away if walking up the ramp is a step too far. But you still need to climb steps to the ramparts as the other lift wasn't working. Some interesting and not so interesting pieces in the little gallery. Used Artecard 365 although couldn't skip the line

This castle offers amazing views of Naples it’s only a short walk to base of the stairs to reach the castle but it is a bit of a slog especially in the heat. My wife and daughter decided to use the lift to get to the top which was very cheap and straightforward. The castle itself is massive and impressive.

There is also a free modern art museum within the castle Definitely worth a visit!

A great place to visit while in Naples if you want spectacular 360-degree views over Naples.  There is walking involved to reach the top of the castle walls, but it's all via ramps, and you can stop and admire the ever expanding views as you climb. If you go after 4 pm, it's half price entry.
