Istituzione musicale benemerita e prestigiosa, la cui sede, per i concerti, è all'interno della Sapienza, nell'aula magna del rettorato, che ben si presta all'occasione per le sonorità cameristiche. Meraviglioso il recital tenuto dal pianista argentino Nelson Goerner, debuttante a Roma.
Pianista con fisico minuto, ma con mani possenti, che aggrediscono i tasti bianchi e neri dello strumento, con forza e potenza che rasentano il divino.
Le stesse mani si destreggiano con sapiente ed audace delicatezza nei momenti musicali sereni che non mancano mai nella musica colta.
Il triplo bis con il notturno di Chopin e la trascrizione per piano del sul bel Danubio blu di Johannes Strauss e di un altro celeberrimo brano musicale ha chiuso in bellezza il pomeriggio.

Pianist with a small physique, but with powerful hands, which attack the black and white keys of the instrument, with strength and power that border on the divine.
The same hands juggle with wise and daring delicacy in the serene musical moments that are never lacking in classical music.
The triple encore with Chopin's nocturne and the piano transcription of Johannes Strauss's On the Beautiful Blue Danube and another famous piece of music closed the afternoon in style.

Organizzazione pessima nonostante i bellissimi programmi musicali . Pasticci coi biglietti, concerti annullati senza preavviso, code infinite . Urgerebbe un cambio drastico della direzione  per risollevare un’ex istituzione prestigiosa.

Terrible organization despite the beautiful musical programmes. Ticket problems, concerts canceled without notice, endless queues. A drastic change in management would be needed to revive a former prestigious institution.

Ho la fortuna di poter frequentare più di una delle maggiori stagioni concertistiche italiane e ritengo che la IUC sia di una completezza e di un livello qualitativo di livello elevatissimo (per non dire della bellezza, dell’ acustica della sala e del pubblico) che ha sempre meritato il viaggio di alcune ore. Nello specifico, Schubert/qt. Cremona è stata una esperienza culturalmente ed esteticamente memorabile.
