We went on a Friday morning around 845 am and had a great time without a lot of other tourists to brush up against. Plus we were able to see all three floors and visit Roger's hall. Don't go midweek and miss out on the full site.

This was a great building with a lot of history to experience. So interesting how long it's been here when you tour the basement and see the original walls. They don't built them like this anymore. Some wait to get the tickets but was not too busy walking inside. A few groups did create some backlog.

A great stop for an hour. Make sure you buy tickets for all of the exhibits as they’re are individually prices. Bring money for the bathrooms as well. The ladies at the gift shop are a delight.

Not sure if this worth the price, very overpriced entry! No English or history just gold and wealthy empty things everywhere. Big queue and then they closed at 2pm, we cpuld not even check everything, just had a drink outside in the Royal garden and suddenly they sent us in, thanks God we checked the exhibition and Palace and all before. Buy the tickets online and come early!

An enjoyable visit, especially for the ornately decorated Palatine Chapel. You also get access to other galleries and a peek into the Sicilian parliament. Overall this makes the ticket decent value and a good way to spend some time in Palermo. Be aware that, as with so many places in Italy, your ticket does not grant you the privilege of going to the toilet. Bring some loose change!
