Free entry tot eh church paid options available to go up to the top of the dome. The outside is honestly the best part. Such an impressive building very unique. Worth the look not too much on the inside but free and easy to get it.

Beautiful cathedral, you can't imagine how big it is when you see it in the picture. When you see it in reality you are fascinated by its beauty and largeness. And then there are all those decorations,carvings in marble, statues. The facade looks amazing. We didn't get inside because the line was very long, so maybe next time. But all in all the we are very impressed by it.

Must visit, even if you just go to see the outside which is frankly the most spectacular part.

We took the full pass and saw the church, the baptistry (which was unfortunately undergoing restoration of it's ceiling the most beautiful part), the museum, and we somehow managed to climb to the top of the bell tower.

There are spectacular views across Florence from the bell tower and as someone not great with heights I will say it is difficult but manageable as there are so many floors to stop at you can calm yourself down and rebuild your courage to attempt the next floor!

The cathedral is stunning. If you get tickets to climb up to the Duomo, be prepared for a lot of stairs. The view from the top is incredible, but you can also enjoy a similar panorama from the Piazzale Michelangelo. I highly recommend visiting the museum as well.

Just a magnificent dome cathedral! All of the original statues from the outside are in the adjacent museum and those on the cathedral are replicas. The museum is a must visit. The cathedral is surprisingly humble inside compared to other cathedrals you enter. The baptistry has greater embellishments inside, aside from the obvious dome fresco, which is spectacular. You have to see it to truly appreciate the scale.
