I love Udon, Sake and the other Fou fow places but this one was just a little Fou pffffow.

The noodles were fine, if a bit overcooked, as was the meat. The broth — the key ingredient in these dishes— was not flavorful at all. And the whole dish just missed that delightful nutty autumn heartwarming taste that you want when you eat Udon.

We sat in the front seat near the window and noticed it was covered with dead flies, of all types from mosquitoes to fruit flies. Than when our food was served we also noticed lots of animals buzzing around, this is bad news in terms of how clean the restaurant and the kitchen are.

The staff however was absolutely lovely and hard working! No comments there.

All and all if you’re looking for a quick hot meal as the weather turns cold, this place is fine. If you want the real thing, however, go elsewhere.

Really nice restaurant. Definitly recommend it if you are looking for something authentic. Not far from Westermarkt (Anne Frank museum). Went there alone to try out, came out full and really pleased with the food quality and quantity.

Amazing chicken Katsu. The udon noodles are excellent. Handmade right in front of you. Great service. Lots of options. The gyoza were excellent too. Highly recommend if you need a place for lunch or dinner. Seating inside and outside.

Let's start with the staff. Really friendly and very attentive.
The food is good, and they have a nice  selection on the menu to choose from, though I  found the prices a little high for the size of the  portions. Also, €9.20 for a 500ml / pint of Asahi Super Dry is too much

Udon noodle at Fou Fow Udon is very delicious. Especially when top those with fried shrimp or fried pork gave us the best combination both with normal broth or with curry. Good place to enjoy tasty udon. Recommended!
